Great dosing funnel and a solid purchase. Screen wasn't so great but I didn't need it.
This is a great dosing ring. It fit flawlessly on my 54mm aftermarket portafilter I'm using on my Bambino. The inside is perfectly flush and the magnets snap on easily and keep it perfectly centered as well. If you move the ring while it is on the portafilter, there is just a little bit of movement. I like this, as it is great for knocking back in any of the grinds that might have piled up on the edges while loading the filter or using a WDT tool. If you wiggle it around and let go, it snaps back to the center each time, which is really nice too. My ring I was using previously just used weight to stay in place. This works too, but makes the whole setup top heavy. The ring it self is very very light. I am assuming it is made out of aluminum. It has a brushed, not super shiny appearance that I think looks nice and that the grinds don't like to stick to. Thumbs up for design.It's worth noting that have read with some other brands that the little magnets on the bottom can sometimes become dislodged or lost. I've only been using this for a couple weeks, so time will tell on that one....but no issues so far.The screen that comes with this is not a great one in my opinion. This is the reason for the one star down. The dosing funnel is absolutely 5 star. The screen however is somewhat flimsy and because it is so light, I can't get it to sit flat in my portafilter. It tends to catch on one edge when you drop it in. One cool thing though is that it comes with a little handle with a magnet that helps you pluck the screen out after pulling your shot. I though this was a great idea, I just wish the screen worked better. The magnetic handle is easy to just stick on the side of your espresso machine when not in use.If you're looking for a great dosing funnel, then this is a solid purchase. If you are looking for a screen and funnel combo kit, this one may not be for you.

As my skills with espresso variations grow so too do my tools! I didn't realize how much I needed a filter funnel until I got one! This has made my routine SO much easier and mess-free. I love the way it snaps right in place with a magnetic hold, it is so easy to use and makes leveling and packing a quick-time breeze! Perfect fit.

Works great for me
Using this with an off-branded, wood-handled bottomless portafilter for my Gaggia Classic.Works as expected, but needed to swap to one of the filter baskets that came with the Gaggia machine; as the stainless steel my bottomless portafilter came with wasn't magnetic enough (or at all) for the magnets to stick to it.Luckily, the Gaggia filter basket fit the off-brand portafilter just fine.Overall quality seems totally acceptable for such a simple little "device" and it certainly helps load up the portafilter and use the little "MDT tool" whisk thingie to help break up clumps before starting to tamp it down.Lightweight design, good value.I personally don't find the puck screen to be helpful at all...though it definitely take some time to develop a technique that will reliably get good consistent rat-tail pours from a bottomless portafilter.

Excellent funnel but expensive. Screen is thin
This dosing funnel is excellent. I already have the other type that sits slightly inside the portafilter. The style of this product is superior for 2 reasons. First, there's no indented ring pressed into the grounds that could cause channeling. But the best reason is that the tamper fits inside the funnel so if you have a huge mound of grounds you can get it under control before removing the funnel and making a mess. With the magnets, the funnel fits perfectly and securely on my casabrews portafilter. I love it and will no longer use the other style.The screen on the other hand is a bit of a joke. In my picture you can see a real screen on the left and this thin one with over sized holes on the right. That being said, it does work better than no screen at all and the espresso comes out better and less disturbance of the top of the puck from water and less mess on there machine but it's not as good as a real screen. The magnet is excellent and I was hoping it would work on my real screens which often get stuck on the machine side and it's very hot to remove by hand but those are aluminum so the magnet doesn't work for those.Someone commented on the high quality of the funnel material but it's just cheap cast aluminum. Due to that, I think this item is over priced. It's not hard to cast aluminum versus making a more durable nicer looking stainless steel product. That being said I'd still buy this if you have a mountain of grounds overflowing your portafilter like I do due to a very fine grind for my high pressure bottomless filter
