Great 1st Strain

I've always used cheese cloth (by the yard) or flour sacks for straining so I was wondering how this might compare. To begin with I found cleaning them so much easier -- and probably because these are some kind of manmade material, such as polyester. Even my husband preferred them because they are bowl shaped. On the other hand, they do not strain better than good quality cheese cloth, in fact, I'd say while close, I still have to strain a 2nd time with my cheesecloth to get all the impurities out when making bone broths. But even so, I still find these are perfect for a first strain because it's easier to pour the contents of my pot (or instant pot) into this shape than it is to use cheesecloth inside a strainer over a bowl ...

Very practical but minor design concerns

I really like the product and find it very practical to use. However, I noticed that the bottom seam seems to trap some residue inside, which is a bit disappointing. Saves time, easy to use!

This product has saved me so much time in extracting kefir grains from the kefir! I can extract grains from 1/2 gallon in a minute whereas before it was taking me about 20 minutes putting the homemade kefir through a small plastic strainer. The straining bag completely covers a large bowl. You pour the kefir into the bowl with the straining bag and lift the bag, squeeze, and you have your grains isolated in a minute. The bag is easy to clean. Since the bags are non-metal, they do not interfere with the activation of the grains. I highly recommend these bags!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It is a bit difficult to squeeze. It is slippery and a bit tough, not pliable. I picked it for the shape. I like the durability, but cheesecloth is easier to deal with.
