This is a decent quality ring mold. Not sure how adjustable it could be but I got it for cutting out sponge cakes for tiramisu and cannoli cakes. The size is perfect for that. It’s a lot easier to use this to cut my layers than what I was using. A plate and going around it with a paring knife!!! It’s easy to clean and seems pretty durable. So far it hasn’t bent out of shape and I’ve used it for over three months now so I’d recommend it. I can’t say what a good value it is because I can’t see it being adjustable, but for what I am using it for it’s excellent!! It couldn’t be easier for me.

Solid cake ring
This is overall a sturdy and pretty well made cake ring that will be great for use with mousse, even on a pan lined with a silicone mat or similar, or just for easily trimming sponge sheets to an even circle.I had a mousse cake project right before I got this go figure. This would be great for any mousse projects, or no bake cheesecake and similar, but could certainly be baked if needed - I'll probably use it for basque cheesecake with parchment paper.I'll say the quality overall is good, the steel is decently thick and sturdy - the only thing is the seam could be better. It leaves a very small gap at the top and bottom of the ring, and though it's fairly smooth inside, there's still a bit of a bead from the weld.Honestly it probably won't make a difference in your result especially if it's lined, but just areas where quality has room for improvement.

Solid Ring Mold
In no universe would this "Bakeley Mousse Cake Mold, 8 inch Stainless Steel Adjustable Cake Ring Mold for Baking, Non-Stick Frost Form (8 inch, Silver)" be considered adjustable. There is no mechanism to change the size of the ring. As a standard ring mold, it is thick enough to not warp while baking. However, it is not perfectly round. The seam is jutting out slightly, but enough to notice. Normally, I would gently bend one of these back into shape, but as the issue is along the seam, I do not want to risk breaking it. Also, the ring is shiny, but not shiny enough for me to consider it non-stick as the description also claims. Overall, it is a fine product, but not even close to what the description says.

True stainless, quality made ring.
This ring mold is made of true stainless steel and it's thick, strong and has good weight to it. (see photos)It's very smooth and no sharp edges. Real quality.I ate a salad at a restaurant that made the salad in a ring mold. On the plate, they lined the ring with cucumber sliced the long way and placed the rest of the salad in the center. Then removed the ring. It was beautiful and felt special, like a high end restaurant. I've want to do that at home ever since! Now I can! You can make them ahead and keep them in the frig, ready to serve.I'm excite to have the ring mold. I ordered the 6", so the salad wouldn't be too large. This stainless mold will be easy to clean and use for years to come. I may also try using it for desert. Since I would enjoy that, as well.It seems like it's higher priced, but maybe not, since this is so heavy and true stainless. It's a one time investment.

Rings are for more than just mousse
The ring height is 2”. The weld is well-ground and polished.I made some dinner rolls using this ring today. Got just the looks I wanted. See the accompanying photos. If you have a need for baking rings this one does just fine.

Thick Metal, Pretty Good Quality
I am using this for chocolate mousse and berry cream cake. Picture does not show the finished product, apologies!This is surprisingly thick/heavy metal and won't easily deform, so I felt comfortable using it in the oven (for the cake). Like, much better than I was expecting. It fits well on my cake platter too!There are a couple of finish marks and a weld that was not buffed out as well, so not 5/5 quality (see pictures). But, it 100% works well for the purpose and that is what matters.
