Great for the price but aren't really non-slip, more so "harder to slip"
For the price, looking at other coasters you could get for the same price, I think these are quite nice. You get the option of a ceramic side, a non-slip side, and you get a holder for the stack which is honestly something that is really important for me. I hate having coasters that you can't stack or that don't have a home.However, there are two reasons I'm deducting a star. First off, they're really not as non slip as I expected. It is certainly much better than coasters with no grip at all, but they're still easy to slide across tables and mouse pads without much force. And similarly, you can slide drinks on top of the pad without much force. However, they are non slip enough that I think they'll prevent most accidental spills, and I have noticed that the grip seems to get better (specifically for drinks sliding) when you use them more. And second, the kitten pictures seem pretty cheaply stamped on and I believe they'd likely start to wear off with use, especially the dark colors.I also was expecting the holding tray to be matte and opaque. However, it's a shiny plastic and somewhat translucent which is very obvious in a sunny room, and this looks cheaper and less stylish to me. Also, the bottom of the tray has no non-slip grip.Out of the box, the coasters feel dusty/grainy, and if you touch the ceramic side, your fingers get covered in fine white ceramic dust. Rinsing the coasters does remove most, maybe 90% of this grainy feeling, and they no longer leave behind white marks on your fingers, but it's still slightly there.The ceramic side is very absorbent! Even after rinsing the ceramic in the sink and having it absorb as much water as it can, it feels dry to the touch! I wasn't expecting to use this side honestly, but it'll definitely be my go to for wet glasses.They're also quite simple to clean, it's very easy to take the ceramic in and out of the non slip lining.All in all, despite the flaws, I think these are a great value for the money.
