I’ve been baking for years, but never realized how much of a difference a good flour sifter could make until I tried this one. The 40 mesh screen is super fine, which means all my dry ingredients come out soft and clump free perfect for light, fluffy cakes and smooth batters.
just received them and was impressed with the quality for the price . i bolted 250g of already bolted whole wheat that i had i purchased from a local historic mill. this screen removed an entire wheat hull and some other chaff or bran or debris (who knows?). i then did unbolted rye 280 grams and it removed about 70g of bran on one pass. (by the way - that should be a crime. whole rye is unbelievable. my favorite.)
These are great but not for what I intended. The 40 mesh is extremely fine and I think the almond flour has too much fat in it for these. That being said a nice addition to my kitchen for many other things and the different sizes are very handy.Thanks
