6 Perfect Slices Review:
I ordered this specifically because it cuts into six pieces instead of eight.I already have one of those plastic pie cutters that does eight slices, and it works fine, but eight slices isn’t always what I want... and we’re actively trying to use less plastic in our kitchen.I really like that this one's stainless steel. It feels more substantial, and I don’t have the lingering “what exactly is getting into my food?” feeling I get with the plastic one. I’m honestly considering ordering the stainless eight-slicer and retiring the plastic one entirely. One thing I didn’t expect, but really appreciate, is that it’s useful even when you’re not pressing straight down to cut. If you’re working with something bigger than about 10 inches, you can still use this to mark your lines. I’ll press it gently to score the surface, then finish the cuts from the center outward with a knife or pizza cutter, lining my blade up with the center marks. It makes it way easier to keep slices even without eyeballing it.
