Great kettle but be aware of rust on rim

Really nice, heavy weight, beautiful design, but one thing that is a problem is the rust that immediately forms around the rim top of kettle under the lid. After first use I left the lid on top as the kettle cooled and the next use I lifted lid and there was a rim of rust. Leave lid off after heating water while it cools or you'll be cleaning rust all the time.

solid teapot, its heavy and gets hot quickly, just be careful pouring it do not take the lid off if there is hot water in the pot you will get burned from the steam. It took me some time to find a forever teapot that will last and this is it.

A beautiful piece of art.

I had to return the first teapot because the lid was broken. The replacement came a few days later. It’s perfect. The only issue is the weight of the teapot. It’s hard to gauge how much water is in the pot so you’re forced to visually check the water level every time you use the teapot. But it looks really good. So much better than those thin aluminum teapots.
