Shiny and sophisticated silverware
We've been using the same set of silverware for close to ten years now. It has held up well enough, and we've loved the look and feel of the pieces, but they are black and the color has started to chip off on many of the utensils.I saw this pop up and noticed it was 18/10 and decided to give it a try. At the same time, make the move over to silver and ditch the black of our current set.So glad I did! This set is absolutely beautiful. From the extreme shine right out of the box (to after the first wash - see my picture of just the fork) to the durable feel thanks to the quality steel. This a fantastic set.The handles on the pieces are very slim, a departure from silverware I'm accustomed to using. Bit of a different feel in your hand that you get used to quickly, but I think overall it adds a sophisticated look to the set. The spoons in particular are most different from our last, more traditional set in terms of the more circular shape on these spoons (versus traditional oval-like). They're also, I think, a bit smaller on the end than most spoons, particular the large of the two, though I haven't actually noticed a difference in using them.The butter knifes are particularly great. They have the thickest handle to them and add a touch of class themselves. They're nice and large and can get the job done, even for cutting up a lot of things, like some meats, that lesser butter knives would struggle with.But the SHINE on these is fantastic. We've washed a bunch of pieces maybe 5 times now and they still come out looking brand new, revealing your own reflection in them as you hold them up to your face, clear as day.For the ~$55-60 price point, I'm not sure you can do better than this set. We'll be buying an extra to have more placesettings we love it so much.

I love the minimalist look in flatware. This is perfect for me and hubby, sturdy and heavy but not too heavy that children would have trouble handling. Nice set of flatware. Well balanced. Not too fancy, but attractive. The butter knife is one piece, so no breaking off. The tines on the fork are smooth. I would say the price is a little high at nearly $60. Hopefully the finish lasts and rust doesn't form. It seems like it will be fine, thus far.

I really dislike a flimsy utensil and this set of Minimalist Flatware is anything but flimsy. It is a stainless steel and very strong. It doesn't bend easily. I think it is reasonable priced for a service for eight. Each set is two forks, a knife and two spoons. It is a heavy weight and feels substantial in your had. it is very attractive too, and just looks like quality. It functions perfectly as it should to put food in your face. I do think the spoons are just a tad oddly shaped than what I am used to, but nothing to detract from the set. Very nice upgrade from my current flatware.
