Good for cloves and other items.
Bought these to use for clove flavored water/tea. They work well and the tie is handy to seal them up in the bag.You can also use these for potpourri bags for around the house including closets or drawers. They allow fragrance to permeate out and I would suggest you put in a small amount first before filling them up. The fragrance can be overpowering.

Lots of useful possibilities
I chose these to make my own lavender sachets and they work great for that purpose. The cotton is evenly woven but perfectly lightweight. The bag seams are sturdy enough but since the fabric is very raw I imagine they might fray eventually with regular use over time. I added dried lavender to these bags and needed to tie around 1/2-inch of the opening cinched fabric to ensure the leaves wont fall out. Thankfully the ties are plenty long enough to wrap around that fabric a few times for a neat bow. This will add a bit more time and effort to securing your leaves inside the pouches. The bags open easily and are easy to use and fill. There was zero weird smell, and at almost 4” deep you can add plenty of tea leaves, potpourri, dried spices or anything else you want to dispense into small natural pouches. The weave is tight enough to keep all but fine dust from escaping, but loose enough to let the fragrance or flavor come thru. You could use these for tea, coffee, mulling spices and even sachets, and as simple jewelry storage pouches too. I feel for this price they are made well, easy to use and a great value. Versatile and handy, I’m glad to have these and will consider making sachets as gifts with the extra bags I have leftover.

Work well
These are good REUSABLE tea bags. They make good tea, but also are environmentally nicer since they can be reused over and over again.I would say that they are pretty durable with gentle washing.Pretty easy to use.Since we drink a lot of tea in my household, the reusability is very nice.

Nice sachets for many uses
I got these tea bags to use not just for tea but for making broth that requires loose whole spices. The size is slightly larger than a standard tea bag and can fit multiple tablespoons worth of ingredients. I was able to tie it pretty easily but someone with arthritis might have a harder time doing so, at least if the plan is to undo the tie and reuse the bag. I think due to the size, it would be cumbersome to try to reuse the bag, but it's possible. The cloth itself seems to be good quality, as is the string. The bags arrived in a plastic pouch which I did not like because you cannot close it. I ended up putting these in my own storage container. I thought the amount received was a good value for the going price.

They work great in my soups!
These are perfect! I use them for cooking: I put my seasoning in, tie the bag up tight, and drop it into my soup or mulling juice. They allow all the flavors into what I'm cooking without any of the gritting of the seasoning. They are also great as little gift bags.

Great except packaging
I have been thinking of making my own as some of my favorite french and swiss teas come in muslin bags and I saw after brewing they were still fit for service. These are excellent except for the plastic packaging! Plastic storage imparts microplastics. It's our Age's Radiation. Future generations -- if they are so lucky -- will look back at how much "disposable" plastic we live with and shake their heads. I have ALWAYS hated plastic tea bags. So I am glad to have these. I will brew some of my more delicate teas soon to see if they impart flavor; I did rinse mine before use.
