    Ditched the plastic for good!

    I bought my Vitamix many years ago. The one thing I did not like about it was the plastic pitcher. When I noticed a stainless steel option available, I knew I had to purchase it. I use my Vitamix several times a week, mostly for smoothies, making hummus and bread crumbs. Now that I have the stainless steel pitcher, I'm using it for making soups too. Cleaning is easy. I just put hot water with dish soap in it and let it run on the highest speed for about a 30-60 seconds. I have not experienced any discoloration that some people reported, but I am diligent about drying it completely with a dish towel after washing. It is my understanding this is key to keeping it spot free. The lid has a nice tight seal and I am able to see the contents from above the lid if I so desire. I love how it looks in my kitchen and matches my other small appliances perfectly. This is a great product that I will continue to use for many years!

    Does the job

    I've used the original plastic 48 oz pitcher, and compared to that this one is louder and it doesn't suck down the liquid mixture as well so it splashes up against the lid. However, it still mixes well since it is wider, and I'm happy to have the larger size and to not have to worry about microplastic. I have the E310 blender and the gears engage fine.

    Great value

    Great value compared to the regular Vitamix brand. I don't know if it's just this container, but it is exceptionally loud on high speed. It's louder than my plastic container that came with the Vitamix. Nonetheless, it's still works great.

    works perfectly with my Vitamix 7500

    Great quality container! I have a Vitamix 7500 and am happy to report that this container works perfectly with it. This container is heavy duty- well made and the lid stays on extremely well - it will not go flying off accidentally at high speeds like the black silicone lids on my original clear containers. I was concerned about the stainless steel and not being able to see through into the container but the lid is see through so you can still see what it going on in the container and monitor the progress of your blended contents. I like that this one can go into the dishwasher as well. You are not supposed to put the clear containers in the dishwasher, at least with high temp wash or heat dry, according to Vitamix.

    Writing this review as honestly as I can. The advertisement cites this blender is NOT compatible with "Ascent and Ventruist Series machines" which mine is not-I have the A2300 SmartPrep Deluxe Kitchen System. I can confirm 100% this blender is NOT compatible with my model either. The blender however is sleek and beautiful. It is well built. The handle is fixed and attached nicely. The blade is smooth and spins freely. This is comparatively priced. Dishwasher friendly and easy to clean. It fit perfectly on my base but wouldn't actually blend, I was so bummed because this is such a NICE pitcher.
