Not good for frying.
I bought this after seeing a video of this or something like it to deep fry food and I thought it would be great. I thought wrong. It will fry food but only in very small quantities like half or quarter portions. I tried to fry chicken wings. I heated the oil to 375F and put 3 wings in and watched the temperature plummet to 250F and never get higher than 340F. You can't get crisp wings at 340F. I had to fry them twice and still did not get them crispy. I think the problem is the surface are of the pot that the flame can hit. The heat dissipates and can't heat up again because the flame on my stove can't concentrate on the bottom without spreading up the sides. I'll some other use for it.
