I have used mesh bags in the past, but these seem to be silkier and the holes so fine, that it's hard to detect. I mean, they're obviously there. I love that these bags are a large bowl shape with a flat bottom. It seems well constructed and is hemmed along the top rim and the base. That means when I'm pouring stuff inside the bowl, it won't fold on me like unconstructed mesh bags or cheesecloth. The product description does not indicate how many quarts of liquid or solids it can hold. But due to the large size capacity of this bowl, I would say it can hold quite a bit - maybe up to 2 quarts with room at the top to close with the drawstring, which is another cool feature of this product.I recently started making my own soy milk using a nut milk blender. I need to run the soy milk through a cheesecloth to separate the solid pulp from the milk. I look forward to using these mesh bags in place of cheesecloth for the same purpose. Next time I purchase soybeans and make soy milk, I will try these mesh bags and update my review. But for now, I'm impressed by the general quality and appearance of this product. It looks to be effective in filtering out pulp from nut milk or liquid from solids. The material feels durable which means you can use the same mesh cloth multiple times before it disintegrates. The only minor criticism I have is that the hem is not sewn that well at the bottom tail end (see pic). Not a big deal though, because I think the hem is reasonably sewn all around. For a 6-pack, this is a pretty good value.

Best bag for large batches
My spouse enjoys making fresh tofu from time to time, a process that involves straining a pot of cooked soybeans. She had struggled when using standard nut bags, so when this product arrived, she was eager to try it right away. I've photographed many steps in the process, and this bag helps considerably.It's very large compared to a standard nut bag, but the dimensions listed on the product page are wrong. From a standing position, the sides rise about 8.5" and the diameter at the base is about 7.5". Still, as you can see in the pictures, it fills a large bowl easily and covers most of our huge stockpot. It's much easier to strain a potful using this bag compared to a standard nut bag, where my spouse would have to add only a few ladles at a time. As you can see, she accomplished a great deal in just one batch.Another plus is that the bags are very sturdy, and you get six of them for the price. For us, these will easily last a decade, making it an unbelievable value.I also make nut milk, typically with cashew, oat, or almond, for coffee. However, because I use smaller quantities, this bag would not work for me. I will stick to the standard-sized ones readily available on Amazon. However, if you're planning to make a larger batch, this is the product to get.

These are great nut milk bags that I specifically use for wellness shots. I have zero issues with them and they work so much better than cheese cloth. They are best if used in a bowl as they are bowl shaped. I do with they were a little smaller but if you're doing stuff in bulk they are perfect. No mess and easy to clean. The food does leave a bit of staining but they clean quick and easy. Can't complain, would buy again but it's a six pack so this should last me a lifetime.
