Super cute take on famous art
These are neat little coasters. I assumed they would feel more like printed cardboard, but I was pleasantly surprised that they’re almost like thin pieces of somewhat flexible leather that feel much nicer and more substantial than I expected. The artwork is nicely printed and clear, and the “cats in famous paintings” theme is wonderfully suited to my existing decorating style. They hold up well to having drinks set on them and don’t feel flimsy or easily damaged with normal use.My only small wish is that they came with some kind of holder or stand, because as soon as I set them out on my console table, my cats immediately decided they were toys although I suppose that’s very on-brand for cat décor in a cat household. A simple holder would help keep them together and tidy until needed.Overall they’re super cute, match perfectly with the other cat-themed pieces in my home, and I genuinely look forward to showing them off to guests for a long time.

Cats as Characters Coasters… Pawesome!
Both I, my father and my best friend are cat people… we all appreciate their antics and many personalities (from predatory to playful). This coaster set is an anthropomorphic masterpiece… literally! Cats replace the subjects of artwork masterpieces: Three nods to van Gogh, Michelangelo’s “Creation”, a Hokusai inspired Catzilla, and a silly take on Vermeer… this coaster set will keep you smiling. The images are crisper than I expected. The rubber backing is okay, but I may add felt. I don’t get the soft diatomaceous earth part, though. It looks like foam and acts like foam, so I guess it’s supposedly embedded or mixed in the material. I actually didn’t realize it said soft diatomaceous earth… I thought these were going to be rigid. I’m not really upset about that as the hard diatomaceous earth items I’ve used have stained black quite quickly.I’ll have to see how well they work and report later… It’s freezing cold and the last thing I want is a drink with ice in it. …And since I really bought these for the amusement factor (and plan to give them to a friend who’s a fellow cat lover), utility isn’t really that big a deal. Frankly, I’m tempted to attach a magnet and put them on the refrigerator.
