I'd been looking for a flex edge for my Kitchen Aid 6-quart bowl lift mixer for years, but the only ones I ever found were restricted for use with 5-quart tilt heads. It works great and I couldn't be happier with this purchase!I read all of the reviews and the only bad ones were from the muttenheads who didn't read every word in the description as to compatibility...I'll have to say, the picture of the ill-fitting flex edge inside of that tulip bowl that's clearly in the description as "incompatible" prompted my purchase. Mutton has its place, but generally not advisable as brain matter. Great product!

I was a little skeptical that this paddle attachment would really reduce the amount of scrapping I would need to do. I chose this one after realizing that it is metal, and not plastic like some of padded that were lower priced. I’m please with how well it works, the durable metal frame and that it really does keep the sides of my mixer bowl scraped. Works well with both thin batters and solid doughs.

Not a perfect fit but works well

Price is good but like the reviews it “clunks” in the mixing bowl. So….. I put the paddle in the mixer, raised to bowl turned on slowest speed,,,, clunk clunk clunk , added boiling water to tippy top covering the silicon on the beater. Let it mix on slow until water cool enough to put a finger in. Problem solved smooth operation.

This beater caused me some anger today!

I can’t even tell you what a bad experience I had using this! We are redoing our kitchen and I must have packed my beater, so I bought this one thinking a scraper would be marvelous, and the reviews were mostly positive...The first step of my recipe was to cream the butter on medium speed for three minutes... well, pretty soon, there’s a whole ridge of butter about an inch from the top of bowl, so I scrape down thinking once I add the eggs, this nonsense will stop, but it got so bad, I shut it off and continued with a hand mixer!What a terrible piece! It almost seems like I got the wrong one, but I carefully looked up my model number and ordered the right one.I can’t wait til I find the one that came with my mixer!

Time saver

I resisted getting this for a while, I kept telling my wife that it was unnecessary and that it was a gimmick. Boy was I wrong; the silicone blades at the end of the mixer make a huge difference and they do wipe off the sides of the bowl as they go by. Obviously because of the way the mixer rotates, it’s not done in one single wipe, but rather in small sequential wipes every time around, but for sure there is no longer a need to use a separate spatula to get everything off the edges mixed in. Hooray.
