Works like a Champ!
This cherry pitter is a time saver. Being able to put seven (7) cherries at once feels almost magical.You do need to apply a bit of pressure on the top, but it’s smooth and efficient and the pits pop out without hassle.I didn’t encounter any jams of any sort. There was no mess and they were perfectly pitted cherries ready to go.The pits get collected in the cup below the cherries and it’s really easy to remove the cup to wash. Also, the stems that push out the pit are easy to clean as well. Just push down the top and rinse those off.

Love black cherries. When I was little my grandfather had the only black cherry tree I knew of in the city. He brought a sapling with him from the south many years prior. And it was a feat to do in the northeast part of the country. He nurturted it and it grew and produced the biggest, juiciest black cherries. People would stop driving and ask could they buy some. Sometimes he would most times he wouldn't. He had to know you or you were special. As grandchildren we were definitely special. It was so heartbreaking when the city decided to put a freeway and their street was right in the middle of where it was to be. Back then moving the tree it was not an option. He gave out saplings in hope of growth. None took I'm aware of. My grand pa was so old and fraile at that time the tree disappeared just before his passing. But my memories of that time are forever lasting. I would like to think that's where my love for black cherries come from and I wait each and every season for them to come to the stores. I looked at this pitter for awhile and finally ordered. Works pretty good. But a little bit of pressure needs to be applied. Washes up great and pits really well. Going out to buy some more cherries the season will be over soon! Thanks so much for reading.

Strong Cherry Pitter
Such a great concept and works well if someone strong is able to do it. When the cherries are large, it’s hard to push down and get the pits out. Easy to clean, gets the pits out without a lots of waste. Overall neat contraption.
