Great product! It’s the perfect size and look for the table as a serving utensil and for us to use as a “common” utensil that everyone uses to get the food. Super easy on the hand when getting heavier items. The opening is nice and wide but not crazy wide that I would feel a stretch on my hand. It’s easy to clean and feels sturdy. No issues with the lock so far. It’s great that it came in a set of 3. We’ve been using it everytime we have more than 2 people eating at the table. Pic attached is from Christmas. I ended up using all 3 and had to use my big oxo clamp for the chicken which didn’t look as nice but did the job.

Great size but not super strong

As you can surmise by the price, these aren't the strongest tongs ever. Squeezing them onto something with much force will bend the metal ends inside the silicone. Not a huge deal just don't buy these to lift up boulders and you should be fine. Great for serving things at parties.

Usable, with one exception...

I bought several of these as gifts, and some to use myself. After a few uses, I noticed they would no longer close completely. I traced this down to the pop-rivet that was used as the central axle for the scissor hinge. It had fallen out of one side, and was allowing that side to hang loose. A quick trip to the shop and a light tap with a hammer, and the end of the rivet could be "mushroomed" so the rivet would stay in place in the bore. Not serious, but it pointed to poor manufacturing and poor QC, thus the 4 stars for sturdiness. Not a showstopper. These things are very versatile and every kitchen needs them.
