This set has beautiful colors and a nice look, making it good for Passover. However, the quality isn’t quite what I expected. The material could be thicker for better durability. It’s an okay purchase, but I might look for something of higher quality next time.
Design: The 72 x 13 inch table runner and placemats have a Red Sea–themed design that could honestly be a blue and tan abstract. If you were told it was a rendition of the Red Sea parting, then you can see it. If it is just a person looking at your table, they may never guess it was anything other than the colors of earth and sky or just a nice abstract with blue water waves and brown…like a beach. There is no hand of Moses or Aaron, no words of God, no staff, and/or no pursuing chariots. The placemats and table runner could be used by anyone celebrating Easter or just a family wanting a nice set of placemats and a matching runner.Contents: The set contains one runner and six placemats that are about 12 x 18 inches.Material: The woven cloth is a little thin and stiff, but there is a smoothness and some sturdiness that allows it to be wiped clean.Washing: The product description read that they are safe for both “hand washing and machine washing”. When I washed them, they were really wrinkled and balled and the material became less stiff. I used the low iron as recommended. I would caution you to iron it on the back. I would wipe clean as much as possible. Another option if you want to keep these long may be to put a clear plastic placemat over all the used places so washing is not necessary.Size/Measurements: You get 6 (18 x 12) placemats and a runner, but remember you can put a place setting on the end of the runner making this set able to seat 8. On my 76 inch table that seats 8, the runner is a couple inches shy of the table’s end on each side. You can place two place settings on the ends of the runner so you can keep a seating for 8.Versatility: While designed for Passover, the theme is subtle enough that the set can also be used for other celebrations or as seasonal décor.Value: For it being an interesting and coordinated set it is a good value because it is versatile.
