Quite spacious
I bought this container to hold a turkey to braise it. It came up to fill that need in that search for no reason. It will fit a chicken not a turkey. It may only fit a a turkey if said turkey is fully cooked, carved, and sectioned apart for storage. It will be great for storage needs.
Great product
Containers being used for dog food, totally meet my needs…BUT…the lid on one of them broke with second use, one of the snaps broke off.
I used this extra large stainless steel food container to roast a whole chicken, and it performed exactly how I needed it to. The size is impressive and easily accommodates large cuts of meat without feeling cramped. There was plenty of room for the chicken to cook evenly, and I did not have to worry about overflow or squeezing everything in like I have with smaller containers. If you cook for a family or prepare large meals ahead of time, this capacity is extremely useful. The stainless steel feels solid and well made, and it handled oven use without any issues. I like that it transitions easily from cooking to storage, which cuts down on the number of dishes needed. Once the chicken was done, I was able to let it cool and place the lid on for storage without transferring everything to another container. The locking lid closed easily and felt secure, and the handles made moving such a large container much more manageable.Cleanup was straightforward, though I would recommend lightly oiling or greasing the container before cooking to make it even easier. After my first use, that is something I will definitely do going forward. The container cleaned up well and showed no signs of warping or discoloration after oven use.Overall, this container is perfect when you need serious capacity and durability. It is well suited for roasting, meal prep, parties, or storing large portions of food, and after using it, I can see it becoming a go to option for big meals and special occasions.
Though I managed to hold on to one of those plastic rotisserie chicken containers from Costco, things haven't been the same since they went to bags and now our household only gets one of them per visit when we used to get 2 or 3. Until I got this AMAZING Freshmage metal food container with lid - which if you see the marketing pictures for them - is perfect to hold a large cooked chicken and that's EXACTLY what I'm using it for! Buddy comes home, chicken goes into container, chicken lasts longer! Having more chicken inventory capacity is an amazing quality of life improvement! The container itself is very sturdy and high quality. I wasn't sure if there was going to be some kind of contact elevation on the bottom surface of the container but there is, though minimal. The plastic lid is very high quality as well and it has latches to secure it down, and rubber/silicone gasketing around the edge - though sometimes I worry about stuff getting stuck in there. There is a plug at the top to allow for some ventilation if need be. At the $40 asking price at the time of getting this, I feel its one of those kitchen things that will last a lifetime and my intended purpose in housing $5 rotisserie chickens will have it paying for itself in no time so you can imagine my value for money is off the charts! This is probably the highest quality food container I have and I feel better for having it! Recommended!
It is a Gift But very nice
