Better than the original
This is actually better than the original from 12 years ago. The original did not have the removable blade. Initially, the new jar did not fit snuggly on the base, buy tightening the blade assembly slightly with the included tool solved that issue.

Good replacement jar for Blendtec blender
The original jar that came with my Blendtec blender lasted over ten years. The second one is on its way out after only four - just as the warranty ran out. They fail at the same point - the seal around the blade. This jar comes with a removable blade. There is no clear description for the reason - the jar came without a manual and the company doesn't sell replacement blades, but there are many aftermarket blades available that look identical and should fit this jar. I am still years away from the need for replacement, hopefully.Aside from the blade, this jar is identical to the jar I had before in every way.The blade sits higher inside the jar and that appears to be a good thing: the blender used to struggle with thick food that caused an air bubble to form around the blades so they spin fast but fail to do any work. This jar seems to handle these jobs a little better, and I am quite happy about it.The minor issue is the rubber seal at the bottom is a tiny bit too thick - as a result, the jar does not completely sit on the blender - there is a fraction of a millimeter gap which causes the jar to be a bit wobbly when put on the blender. I am thinking of gluing small plastic tabs on the corners (placing thick duct tape patches might be enough too), if it keeps bothering me.The tool to remove the blades is provided, as shown in the photos.

Excellent value, but important things to know if using for a business
OK here we go...I own a shake shop, and we use Blendtec commercial blenders. We blend over 100 shakes per day, and need at least 20 spare jars on hand to get through rushes. So, considering the Blendtec jars leak after a year or two, this becomes a very costly maintenance expense, at $120 per jar from the company itself. I was very excited to try this product which is half the price of OEM.Here's the short summary: For personal use, I would 100% recommend this jar. For commercial use, there are some minor differences which are small enough to still recommend switching to this brand, BUT one deal-breaker for commercial use as well (lack of NSF certification). I will break down specifics.- The most important factor if you are a business, potentially a deal-breaker, is that there is no NSF certification. NSF certification is required by many health departments for sanitation safety. If your business falls in that jurisdiction, you are risking a health violation by using this. That said, I don't personally believe this product is a sanitation hazard, and I discovered that some of our Blendtec brand jars do not show an NSF certification either. Also, some health departments may not be strict on this, or even require it at all. So this is just information for you as a business owner to know, and decide the importance for yourself.- As far as compatibility/fit, no issues there. It's perfect.- The blade is slightly wider than the OEM. I actually find that this is MORE effective in breaking up ice quickly, however it does produce a very slightly different end product. The shake comes out looking grainy/sandy, as if there are still ice crystals, but it's a strange phenomenon, as it is undetectable when it comes to mouthfeel.- The removable base...I am not sure how I feel about it. At first it was almost a dealbreaker for us, as I can see water pooling inside the base (see my second photo). However it appears that the water is ONLY coming in from the bottom, not that it's leaking out of the blade area. As long as that is properly sealed, there is no major issue with water getting in the base, considering you can remove it with the tool quite easily. So we have been removing the base at the end of the day to allow it to empty, sanitize, and dry. On the plus side, you can really make sure it's fully clean. On the downside, this is an extra step AND I am concerned about longevity of the seal/improper sealing with removing it so often. It is also difficult to know how much pressure to apply to tightening, as the tool really does use leverage to make it easy to tighten, but I'm worried about over-tightening and stripping it or cracking the plastic.- Regarding the overall blend quality, again it produces a slightly different texture when looking at it, but the final product feels the same when drinking it. I think it blends a little faster honestly, which is a huge plus, but it can still get stuck sometimes.Do I recommend this blender? For home use, 100%. For commercial use, it depends on your specific needs, but quality alone, yes. If NSF certification is a dealbreaker, no.We have been using this jar for about 2 weeks so far. If I run into issues with the long-term durability, I will update my review.

Blender Pitcher Replacement
This 75 oz replacement blender jar has been an excellent alternative to the original Blendtec pitcher—especially considering the price. It fits my Blendtec perfectly, locks in securely, and blends just as smoothly as the OEM jar. I’ve used it for smoothies, thicker soups, dips, and more, and it handled everything without any struggling, leaking, or making any concerning noises. The jar feels sturdy and well-made, and the plastic is thick. The removable blade assembly is nice as well, and makes deep cleaning incredibly easy. The included tool for removing the blade is a nice bonus and works well. The blade sits slightly higher inside the jar compared to my old one, which actually improves blending of thicker mixtures by reducing air bubbles around the blades. That’s been a noticeable improvement. The only minor downside is that the rubber seal at the bottom is a bit thick, which causes a very slight wobble on the base, but it hasn’t affected performance and is easy to work around.Overall, this jar is nearly identical to the original in look and function, blends safely and efficiently, and costs significantly less than a branded replacement. If your Blendtec jar is wearing out or you want something easier to clean, this is a fantastic option and well worth the money.
