Long handled. Sturdy. Nice bamboo material. There is a magnet embedded in it that allows me to keep the tongs easily attached to a nearby countertop appliance.My only complaint is that the "at rest" position is a little bit too close together to easily grasp a piece of toast with one hand. The opening has to be spread apart with the other hand. I haven't really tried to stretch it - maybe in hot water and let it dry and cool spread apart to see if that would help, but I might get around to that someday. LOL.

They are hard to use

The magnet doesn't seem strong enough to stick to anything. I wish I realized before purchasing that they are more closed in a rested state than open. Sturdy but difficult to get a bagel out of the toaster oven because they don't really open to the size of the bagel.

No burning fingertips

My toaster recently died and I replaced it with a toaster oven. I love the versatility of the toaster oven, but removing anything requires pulling out the rack. These toaster tongs are the perfect tool to pull out the rack, and also to grab the toasted bread (up to 1/2”) to remove it from the rack. I especially appreciate this tool when baking a small batch of cookies and I need to both pull out the rack and pull out the cookie sheet! I’ve been making do with other kitchen utensils and bulky potholders, but these Toaster Tongs are the right tool for the job. Since they are wood, they are safer than any metal tools if you need to go fishing in a standard toaster for a smaller piece of bread as well.The tongs have a single small magnet to adhere to the side of the toaster or toaster oven. Therefore, the tongs will rotate so the magnet is either on the very top or the bottom. The toaster tongs’ magnet is not strong enough to hold the tongs in the position you place them in (I would prefer them to be horizontal), but it’s not that big a deal. They do angle away from the appliance though. And be careful, the magnet gets hot if the outside wall of the appliance gets hot.

A handy gadget for the kitchen

If you have a toaster that is flat on the side, this will stick to it. Unfortunately, I have a toaster that is a bit rounded, so it doesn't stick. I'm not concerned about that, but it may be a deal breaker for some folks. I store it in the drawer directly beneath the toaster, so it is always handy for lifting out short or stuck toast. I think it is a very valuable tool because you don't have to risk your life using a metal utensil to retrieve the toast or burn your fingers.
