Great heavy duty measuring cup!
I just got this lovely 8 cup measuring cup -- granted I have used it once to measure 6 cups of milk to ferment a probiotic into a yogurt consistency. I am sure I will find other uses for it. I like the heavy weight, but not too heavy - it feels solid and will hold up in the dishwasher and heating in the microwave. It was very easy hold while pouring milk into the 8 oz mason jars. The markings are easily read - I'd say a good value. I was surprised that Pyrex no longer makes these and even further surprised to read that some of the older ones off ebay have burst holding hot liquids. I am very glad to have this addition to my kitchen!

Solid measuring cup!
I bought this in a hurry after I broke my*original* PYREX. I used that thing for everything.... consistently, for decades, but especially for boiling bone stock, mixing everything, and it's my go-to for making and proofing sourdough several times each week. It slipped out of my hand one day, and there went my 40 year old 8 cup. I had to replace my 4c PYREX when my roommate stole that years ago and was never happy with the knockoff... the knockoff has a very narrow spout, and everything dribbles when you pour. But I digress.So I ordered this one here, but my SIL, knowing how much I loved the original PYREX, went on ebay and bought me another. Having 2 worked for me, since this is the perfect size for my needs.But comparing them, this is much thicker glass, and a nice, wide spout.I'd had my replacement original PYREX all of a week and I strained hot stock into it. It exploded. Everywhere. UGH. A half gallon of boiling hot stock and glass all over my kitchen, in the sink, floor, down the cupboards, and my disposal. That NEVER happened before in the decade I've been making and canning stock.So the next time, I used this one. Handles it like a champ every time. Measurements are easy to read.Yes, it's heavier, but it's WORTH IT. It's not like you're lugging around a big 15# iron Dutch oven.I love this thing and reasonably expect it to do the heavy work in my kitchen for years to come. Solid quality.

Love this big beautiful glass mixing bowl cup with handle!
For years I've desired a well-marked, dripless 8 cup mixing bowl with lip, and this does the job! Super attractive, stacks beautifully, very thick glass, no drips when I pour from it, and it measures precisely! Love this added item to my kitchen.
