Fantastic

This knife works very well. We bake sourdough loaves and it was a struggle to cut through a loaf with our bread knife. This knife cuts through a loaf easily. It’s sturdy, appears to be made well, and the olive wood is beautiful.

Slices Bread Perfectly Without Crushing It

The presentation alone made me smile—the knife comes in a really nice box that feels premium and gift-worthy.Once I used it, I was even more impressed. The double-serrated blade cuts through crusty loaves like nothing. No squishing, no tearing, just smooth slices that actually look store-bought.It’s lightweight but still solid, and I’ve used it on everything from sourdough to tomatoes to sandwiches. If you’re looking for a reliable bread knife, this one’s honestly hard to beat for the price.

Great bread knife

I’ve been looking for a bread knife that could slice through crusty loaves without crushing them, and I finally found it. This knife’s edge is uniquely designed, it cuts right through tough, crunchy crust with ease. The handle feels very comfortable in the hand too. I’m really impressed and definitely recommend this knife.

A good knife, with a beautiful handle, but expected more of the blade at this price point

If it weren't for the relatively high price of this bread knife I would be much happier with it. I will also admit that this is my first knife with "double serration" and that may bring advantages of which I am unaware. At the time that I ordered this knife it was priced at $61, and I ordered it with the intention of replacing my $15 Mercer bread knife. Currently my favorite chef's knife is a Santoku Wickwillow, and that is among many good knives to choose from, so I definitely had high expectations that an expensive bread knife from Wickwillow would perform as well as the Mercer. Unfortunately that expectation was disappointed.I'm still giving it a go, because the handle is beautiful, whereas the Mercer has a boring plastic handle, and I am hoping that the Wickwillow will hold up well due to the double serration. But straight out of the box my 5 year old Mercer is much sharper than this Wickwillow, and that is the source of my disappointment.Looking at the edge of the blade I can't see any obvious reason for why the Wickwillow isn't as sharp as the Mercer. The edge looks clean and grind looks fine (as opposed to rough). The Wickwillow is also using a 14C28N steel, which is far superier to the x30cr13 of the Mercer, but I would expect that to translate to a sharper edge on the Wickwillow. Please don't get me wrong, this is a sharp bread knife. I might even call it very sharp, if I didn't have the Mercer to compare it to. My hope is that the superior steel will hold it's edge better (it should) and that over time this will prove the better knife. As far as how it performs the edge is perfectly acceptable as is. The length is perfect for cutting all bread sizes in my ktichen, including large sourdough loaves. The knife also has a good weight and balance to it that feels good in the hand. All in all, despite my comparisons and hope that this would be a sharper bread knife I still like it and you may find yourself very happy with it too. If you're comparing it to other bread knives in this price range remember to take into account the double serration and 14C28N steel, my guess is that it is those features that drove the price of this knife up.

Exceptional Bread Knife with Beautiful Craftsmanship

This bread knife is outstanding in both performance and appearance. The blade slices effortlessly through crusty sourdough while still making clean precise cuts through soft bread and pastries. The double serration really makes a difference and prevents tearing or crushing the loaf which is something I have struggled with using other knives. The Swedish steel feels extremely sharp and high quality and it holds its edge well even with frequent use. The olive wood handle is not only gorgeous but also very comfortable to hold. It feels well balanced in the hand and gives the knife a premium handcrafted feel that stands out in any kitchen. This knife has quickly become my go to tool for homemade bread and baked goods. It also makes a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys baking or cooking. Highly recommend for home bakers who want a reliable, perfect length beautiful and effective bread knife.
