Great pitcher with self closing spot.
I absolutely love this pitcher!I regularly make cold brew coffee, iced tea, and other beverages in 1/2 gallon mason jars with a plastic handle/spout lid. So when I see this it was a no brainer. This is a bit larger than 2 liters as noted by the gauge on the side. That’s great as the gauge makes it easy to see what you are making. The glass itself sits inside a rubber cover that gives it both some protection and a little bit of color. The lid? The lid is where this earns its money! The entire assembly screws into place easily and prevent drips. There is a lever to press on that will open the pour spout just like the cream container at your favorite coffee shop. But that’s not all! There are two side buttons that when you press them release the core with the pour valve. This will make it easier to clean the rubber gaskets, and also provides easier access to a mesh cage that sits below the pour valve. Now, I’m not going to recommend putting anything in here so it can flavor your water because there is no upper mesh and whatever it is will end up stuck inside the valve. This is a filter. It will keep pulp or other floating bits like an errant tea leaf out of the valve assembly. It does come off, so take the time to do so and clean it.My only issues and it is purely me buying a cheap, small refrigerator, is hat it will not fit on the shelf I have the 1/3 galling mason pitchers on. It is 1-16” too tall. That isn’t the problem of the pitcher. I ended up rearranging shelves and it fits just fine.Y’all, I’m not posting a picture of my fridge. I need to go grocery shopping and you don’t need to see two over ripe avocados and a half a packet of Canadian bacon. But it looks just like the listing so use that and pretend I posted my fridge.
