Best knives I have ever purchased!

These knives are the sharpest knives I have ever owned and - at least so far - I REALLY like them! I needed something sharp enough to thinly slice beef for Italian style beef and the large knife does the trick as well as a full sized meat slicer! They DO come with a warning to NOT test the blade on your finger and that is spot on. I made the mistake of barely bumping into the tip of the paring knife and yep! That pricked my finger. So DO be careful but if you want good knife quality, these knives get my vote!

These knives are surprisingly high quality for their price! They look beautiful, they feel comfortable in the hand, and they are crazy sharp. The different knives and sizes allow you to use them for various kitchen tasks, which is nice. They've held up very well to daily use for about six months now, so I'm definitely a fan! Building a quality knife set tends to take time and research, and I'm really happy that I started out with this set.

Good for this price point.

I've used these blades for a few months now. I am a retired knife sharpener who sharpened blades for picky chefs.These take a scary sharp edge (17 degrees on each side). The steel is quite hard hard..... but. The edge tends to micro-chip from use. That's what makes it different from more expensive Japanese blades. The Japanese steel holds the edge much longer. I was intrigued by the handle design. It's just okay in my hand (that's just a personal preference). I would have liked a bit more knuckle room on the chefs knife. Decent blades, but there is a reason why Japanese made blades are more expensive. You get what you pay for.
