This mug was exquisite. I love the feel of the clay and the weight. It was exactly what I was looking for, and I haven’t found any others like it, but ultimately it was just too small. I was sad to send it back. And I don’t fault the vendor. They are very clear about the size and it is depicted correctly. It’s just that in person I realized when I make a cup of tea, I want a little more than it can hold.

This is a cute little mug. The emphasis is on little. I drink a lot of tea and so most of the time I am grabbing for my big mugs. I like my tea in big mugs that allow me to sit and enjoy a full mug before making another. But I have been getting into more traditional tea ceremonies that have smaller pours and intentionally focusing on ever sip. These can be a good way to enjoy teas with complex flavors. This mug is tiny and holds far less. But the quality of the design makes you notice it. It’s a little hard to clean but still fun to use. It’s well made and will last a long time if treated with care. It’s a functional art piece. While I am not going to be using it on a daily basis I do love looking at it and just seeing it in my cabinet brings me joy and I think of how glad I have it. It’s value is seeing it and smiling.
