Small but mighty
This small-ish whisk does its job well and looks good doing it, which is honestly most of what I ask from a tool like this. The wires move smoothly through eggs, sauces, and lighter batters without clumping and the handle feels really sturdy. It may seem silly, but I love the turquoise color; it is genuinely appealing and easy to spot in a drawer. That said, the price sits higher than it should for what is ultimately a basic kitchen utensil. It works reliably, it cleans easily, and I reach for it without hesitation, but at close to fourteen dollars it feels overpriced for the category, even with the solid performance and attractive color.
Love this whisk. In fact love it so much and use it so much that I've forgotten to review it. It has become an essential part of my kitchen and I have used it many times so far and it works great, easy to clean, whisks well, isn't coming apart. It's a great size and fits perfectly in my hand! I recommend!
I picked up this 9.06 inch 18/10 stainless steel balloon whisk (Inky Black) to replace my old, flimsy one and it’s made a noticeable difference in my prep work. The 18/10 stainless steel wires feel strong and resilient, and they haven’t bent even when I’m whipping thicker batters or sauces. The balloon shape lets you incorporate air quickly, which is great for eggs, dressings, and lighter batters.• 👍 Durable build: The 18/10 stainless steel construction feels solid and rust-resistant, and overall it seems built to last (similar quality whisks often feature sealed wires to prevent rust issues). • 👍 Comfortable grip: The handle is easy to hold and doesn’t slip when your hands are wet — helpful when you’re whisking vigorously. • 👍 Great multipurpose tool: Works well for scrambling eggs, beating batters, mixing sauces and much more.Minor drawback: If you make whipped cream or meringues often, you might eventually prefer a larger or more flexible whisk, but for everyday use this size is excellent.Overall, this is a solid, budget-friendly whisk that handles most kitchen mixing tasks with ease — highly recommend for home cooks and bakers alike!
I will admit to being something of a whisk snob. I probably have 8 of them downstairs in my kitchen drawers. I was excited to get this one, as I never have I ever had one with a cushy silicone handle. This whisk seems very well-made, and it cleans up beautifully in the dishwasher. This is a good size all-purpose small whisk that I know will be used for quick jobs like a couple of scrambled eggs or whisking Mexican hot chocolate. The only thing about it that is not perfect is the cushy silicone handle is just not quite long enough. I have small hands (think ring size 4.5) and my husband has hands like catcher's mitts. Neither of us is entirely comfortable with the length of the handle. If you are a little less picky than we are, I think this one is an absolute winner.
It’s a whisk, and today it did exactly what a whisk is meant to do. I used it to make a berry and cubed roasted apple Jello bowl, and everything came together without incident. No clumps, no drama, no wounded desserts. So far, no issues. That said, I do question the longevity. It does not exactly give off “this will be passed down for generations” energy. It feels more like the kind of whisk that may one day snap either while being cleaned or during an enthusiastic whisking session inspired by a fun recipe.I do really like the color. It reminds me of the Gem Show here in Tucson, where turquoise is everywhere. On every corner, in every booth, almost as common as McDonald’s. It adds a nice pop of color to the kitchen and makes the whisk feel more exciting than it probably deserves. As for value, this really feels like it should be priced under ten dollars, especially considering the overall build quality. It works, but it does not feel built for the long haul.In short, it is a whisk, it whisked, it has not betrayed me yet, and it looks good doing it.
