Great pair of lifetime kitchen tools and an excellent value

I am on a quest to rid my kitchen of plastic. Towards that end, I decided to give this spatula set a try. Of course, these spatulas can't be used on non-stick-coated cookware or tin-lined copperware, but I don't have any of those kinds of pots and pans. This pair of spatulas is each a single piece of solid stainless steel and is solidly weighted without feeling too heavy. These are the kind of utensils that should last your lifetime. I especially like that the handles are a little long, which means I don't have to work so close to the heat of a griddle or pot to do the work. Did I mention the price? Let me just point out that you would be hard pressed to buy just ONE of these from a well known mail order kitchen specialty catalog for the same price as this PAIR. Excellent value.

These two turners, one slotted, one solid, have a nice weight and feel like a good quality stainless. I have had turners with a silicone or plastic grip, and while they feel nice while they're new, after many washes, it starts to disintegrate, leaving a residue on my hands, and just looking a little sorry.
