I have a couple salt cellars that are bamboo and once you start using them you wonder how you ever lived without them. So I got this as a back up. I did notice a stronger smell from it than I was expecting. Now I guess that could be the smell of the acacia wood and maybe I'm not used to it... but I didn't feel as comfortable putting my raw ingredients in there in case it was treated with a stain. So I'm using it for keeping some small keepsakes in for now.
