I was looking for a small cutting board for those times where I just want to slice an onion or cut up a tomato. This cutting board is the perfect size and it is not going to cause me to strain a muscle by picking it up with one hand! It is made very well and appears to be very durable. The wood is very lightweight and the quality is great. This cutting board seems very durable and is easy to cut on and easy to clean and sanitize after use. I love the wood grain on this cutting board, making it a visually appealing piece to add to your kitchen both as a usable item as well as a decoration. This Acadia wood carving cutting board is very nice overall and well made. The wood quality is good, with a solid, smooth finish, and it feels sturdy and thick rather than flimsy. It has a premium look to it and seems like it will hold up well with regular use. I was impressed with how durable it feels right out of the box, and I’m excited to start using it.The only downside for me is the size. It does match the measurements listed online, so it’s accurately described — but it’s smaller than I personally expected once I had it in hand. Because of that, it’s probably better suited for lighter tasks like serving cheese and crackers, small prep jobs, or display use rather than larger carving or cutting needs.If you’re looking for a compact, attractive wooden board for serving or small tasks, this is a great option. This is a really really nice little board, and this is coming from someone who uses high end, professional size, end grain cutting boards for cooking. It is light, easy to move around and fit on the smallest open surface, and the size is perfect for smaller items like onions and garlic, or very juicy things like tomatoes, when you don’t want to have to wash your main cutting board multiple times during cooking. Also would work great overall if you don’t cook a lot, have a very small kitchen, or for children. The juice grooves is a really nice feature not often available in small cutting boards.It is very attractive looking, I’d say better looking in person than in pictures. The wood grain is lovely. The serving side would work great for a small cheese board when you just have 2-3 cheeses and don’t need a full on charcuterie board, and that cup holder happens to be the exact size of the little ramekins I use for honey and olives, so I’m really thrilled about that. I absolutely love the fact that the serving side and the cutting board side are very distinct and each is perfect for its intended use. Can you use the serving side as a cutting board - yes, but the other side is better suited for it, so why would you. As a result, there’s little chance you (or rather some poorly trained family members) will mess up your nice charcuterie board surface by cutting on it. As pretty and durable as acacia wood is, it just does not look the same after a few months of heavy use as a cutting board.Overall, I think this is a must have in any kitchen and a great value for the money.
