Good quality and versatile for this price range
This is not a high end cutting board set. It is an excellent set for the price point. The item was well secured in the box with foam padding. If purchasing, I recommend that you do not have it delivered in the original packaging. The outer box protected the product box well. The first thing when preparing a wooden cutting board is to wash it in warm soapy water. As expected, the wood was nicely stained, and colored the water slightly, so I washed a second time. I used a soft sponge. The second time, the water was clear. I used a food grade mineral oil to protect the wood. It turned out nicely. The video from the seller represents the product well. I do not plan to use the boards for at least 24 hours to give the oil time to penetrate the wood. Each piece of the set features a double sided use. One side for cutting, one side for presentation of food such as a charcuterie. This would be a great starter set or replacement of plastic boards. This way you have something appealing and functional to use while you are collecting high end chef-grade walnut boards. However, even if that’s not your goal, this set appears to be well made and versatile. The boards are not too thin, although the wood is not very heavy. For this price range, I chose acacia wood rather than bamboo because it should not splinter. I was surprised with the light weight. Still, it’s not flimsy or cheap. If there are any issues with the wood splintering or cracking, I will update this review. I am happy with the set and hope it is functional for years to come.
