This is a great kitchen accessory, it was so easy to set up, literally less than 5 minutes. It looks great, doesn’t take up much space at all & even keeps your knives more organized & easier to access. I love the knife sharpener on the top, it’s a great feature that works wonderfully - it does the job quick and easy when you have your knife right there for access, & it sharpens almost instantly! So quickly, instead of doing it over and over again. I really like this feature because you don’t have to pull out another kitchen utensil to sharpen your knives, it’s right there for easy access & the holder is so sturdy you don’t have to hold onto anything, unlike a traditional knife sharpener. The magnet strength is so good it’s almost too good, make sure to hold onto this while you get your knife out! I was able to put so many on each side when reorganizing them, almost all of my knives are in there except 4 ! (I own a lot)I love how you can place knives on each side as well! Good Quality Magnetic Block

This knife block is super functional with the double sided magnetic knife holder rack. I love the convenience of grabbing one whithout having to search through my kitchen drawers, and it keeps the integrity of the knife in better condition since it doesn't bang against other utensils. It's 14.5" which is a pretty good size so make sure to measure your counter space. The knife sharpener is a great addition as well and I've been needing one for awile now. The wood is solid and super sturdy and all around good quality

More for looks than functionality

I had been hoping it would replace our bulky block, but it's too big for the small amount of knives it can hold without them damaging each other. That means we'd have to find drawer space to accommodate half the things that were stored in the block. The finish is nice except for a few spots that had little splintered slivers sticking out. I like that they included the sharpening tool on top. The magnets have a strong enough hold that even the bigger knives stayed, but it also wasn't a struggle to remove them. If something splashes or spills, you can easily wipe it down. Overall it's cute, but I don't think it's a good value for a $50 or higher price tag. It may be worth it if you are more focused on look rather than functionality.

Quality Is Evident!

This magnetic knife organizer came nicely boxed and suitable for gift giving. It was enclosed and protected tightly in molded foam. The installation was extremely easy, you just put on the base with the two screws provided. They have rubber anti-slip pads for the bottom of the base and replacements are included, not that this thing will slide around, it’s very stable and heavy. It is double-sided with a very strong magnetic strip that just highlights the beautiful acacia wood! The magnets really are as powerful as advertised! This is truly a durable, high-quality item. I appreciate the integrated built-in knife sharpener. My only criticism is that a honing rod is too thick to fit behind the magnetic bar. But honestly, this is too beautiful of a piece to subtract a star for that! I love it!

Assembly: comes with the base separate. Two hex bolts insert into bottom of block metal nuts. Hex wrench included. Simple, quick, intuitive.Function: holds knives, kitchen shears, even meat fork. Able to accept up to 12 or so knives. The strong magnet is in the bar that stands out from the block, so you place the knife between the block and the bar and it is pulled toward the bar. The metal strip is non magnetic - decorative. The sharpeners, medium and fine, both worked well to hone the edges of my knives.Form: made of solid wood, nicely finished. Very good looking.Comparison: I’ve been using the Made In magnetic knife block for several months. It holds knives and my shears in 8 fixed positions. I love that this one holds more in a similar footprint and can quickly hone a knife edge without pulling out my sharpener.
