This LiWiBet Acacia Wood Serving Plate is both functional and drop dead gorgeous! An unusual design in the increasingly crowded marketplace of acacia wood serving plates, this serving plate boasts a wooden display area on the lefthand side with a little stainless steel sauce cup and a slate insert on the righthand side for cutting meat or cheeses. Take a look at the competition. The closest I could find was a cheese cutting board that is mostly slate (but a fantastic deal at $14.99) and a wine and cheese board with a thin piece of slate inset at the bottom for $100. This 13”x11” board has a beautiful shape with a nicely balanced design that should make it very versatile. At 13”x11” this serving plate is decidedly on the small side for a serving plate. It will only carry a relatively small amount of food. (See the last photo: 14 crackers laid out in two rows with a half-pound block of cheese fit comfortably. I could probably have managed 21 crackers in three rows. Anything more would be a bit of a stretch.). The cute little sauce cup would be adequate for one person, but you probably wouldn’t want to share with anyone but your better half. This plate might function best as a fancy tray for one person. To be useful as a serving tray for a party, it would need to be at least 50% larger and have a much larger community size dip bowl. Or it would need to be used only for tiny bits of gourmet goodies that need to be refilled often. Or you need to find friends who eat less! At the list price of $29.99 ($25.49 with “coupon”), this acacia wood serving tray seems reasonably priced. You can get an identical one a couple bucks cheaper (list price $27.99, $25.19 with “coupon.”). Acacia wood serving trays seem to be either ridiculously cheap (in the $15-$25 range) or ridiculously expensive (in the $70-$100 range). I can’t tell the difference. You probably can’t either. Buy the cheaper ones. This acacia wood serving tray is beautifully designed, functional work of art. The slate inset makes it useful as a cheese or charcuterie board. (Who wants knife marks marring that gorgeous wood surface?). However, its relatively small size make it most useful as a tray for an individual or perhaps a serving tray for very small amounts of expensive, lightly eaten snacks like gourmet cheese or caviar. (Not the kind of parties I throw or attend!). Still, it is a unique, practical design breathtakingly rendered! If it suits your world, you will absolutely love this gorgeous acacia wood serving tray with its uniquely shaped slate inset!
The wood is beautiful, the slate is nice and it comes with a dish for sauce. It's not very large but just the right size to serve meat from the grill or cheese and crackers to friends. However, I do wish they didn't place feet on the underside so I could have used that side too without the slate. If you choose not to use the slate and/or dish, it won't look right due to the cut outs for those items. If they would have not placed feet on the underside, then you could use that to serve any item and get double duty from the same serving board.
Steak night just got an upgrade! This set is so beautiful and turns a regular steak night into a full experience. Must have for date nights! Beautiful wood board and stone slab.Display board is made of a beautiful wood whose grain and shines through. It is about 12" x 8" with a Blackstone slate slab on one side. This item has a grooved edge, which makes it perfect so the juices of the steak do not spill. The stone slab is perfect for placing right on top of the fire or for heating inside of an oven. The finish makes it very easy to clean. Remember to hand wash with an unscented soap, if possible, do not put in the dishwasher as it may damage the grain and caused mold to develop.
The LiWiBet acacia wood serving plate with granite board is both stylish and functional. The acacia wood has a rich, warm tone that looks great on any table, and the granite insert adds a touch of elegance while being perfect for serving cheeses, charcuterie, or appetizers. The plate feels sturdy and well made, with a smooth finish that’s easy to clean. It’s a nice size for small gatherings and the combination of wood and stone makes it versatile for both casual snacks and more formal entertaining.
This acacia wood and slate serving plate has a beautiful design and feels very durable. The slate insert is perfect for steak or cheese and lifts out easily, giving you flexibility for serving. The added sauce cup is a nice touch for dips or sides. Works great for charcuterie parties, and it also makes a thoughtful gift for housewarmings or holidays. Definitely serves its purpose well and looks classy on the table.
Definitely not sturdy or durable as a cutting board. A light grazing with a knife while doing normal cutting up of food items leave some pretty deep gashes in this board. That said, the wood is quite pretty and easy to wash, and so long as you cut up your food on an actual cutting board before placing out on this item to serve, you should be fine. The sauce cup and slate platter is cute.
