Trays figure predominantly in my home. I love the ease of being able to pick something up and transport it all at once instead of carrying multiple plates. They are also good for our padded tufted coffee table, to give a firm surface. If someone has a cold, bring them a box of tissues, their meds, and glass of fruit juice on the tray. Put decorations on a tray to rotate decor easily. I love trays!This tray is gorgeous, with richly colored wood and perfect seams. My hands fit nicely into the side cutouts for secure carrying. It looks beautiful on its side being displayed in between uses. Well built for its intended use
This is a very attractive tray that should last quite a while if used for what it was designed to do. In my pictures you can see that I just used the tray to set my candles on. Before this, the candles just sat on the table. The little tray creates a scene (that’s what I call it) and keeps people who come in from moving my candles around. Now, when they move one, they move all and, honestly, people seem to be less likely to move the whole tray where they don’t seem to mind moving just one candle. But that’s a topic for another day.This could also be used for carrying a small tea service or a pot of coffee and two or three cups. I tried it with the carafe that came with my coffee maker and two mismatched mugs and a sugar bowl and it served its intended purpose. I think anything more than that would begin to 1) make carrying the tray a little more difficult and 2) make it just look crowded.I was pleasantly surprised by the construction. At the price point, I wasn’t expecting much. But there were no gaps anywhere and the base felt very secure. For me, when I carried it, I just grabbed the whole end instead of using the handles because it kept the tray steadier.This would be a great gift, and the receiver would probably think it cost more than it did.
