Exactly as described. I was a little worried about quality because I've never heard of this company, but I've been using for a week now and it's great. I'm sure it pales in comparison to top name brands but for this price you won't find anything else that's compares to this set.
Very nice
I purchased these to replace another set of knives I've had for probably eight plus years. At this price point, this is a decent set of knives. All of the most common knives are included, along with a set of six steak knives, scissors and a sharpener. Even right out of the box, I did not find these knives to be as sharp as my old set when it was new but they are an improvement over the other knife set's current condition. I do like the scissors with this set better than my old one as the blades come apart easily for better cleaning.For me, the best part of this set is the knife block which is better quality than I expected and certainly an improvement over the one I previously had. The knives are stored at an angle that is easy to access, also an improvement.I've given these knives a three star rating. Although a nice and complete set, I find these to be "average" in the just-above-beginner quality category.Packaging wise, these come in a plain cardboard box. If given as a gift, the only indication of what is inside is the Amazon barcode with the product name. Each knife came with a full cardboard cover over the blade, plastic piece over the tip, and individually plastic wrapped. Although I'm sure that was to protect them while shipping, I appreciated this packaging for safety reasons.

Bought it for my Mom and she loves it.
The set is exactly what I was looking for - sharp knives, beautiful block. I chose it, in part, because it came with everything I needed, including a sharpened, bread knife and kitchen shears. To my dismay, the shears were not included. The only customer service available is a phone number in China. Not worth returning the whole set, but super annoying.UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller and they refunded me for the shears. I bought some new ones with the money and now have the full set. Thanks to the seller for making things right!
The base is sturdy and stable, easy to handle the knives. The knives look great - sharp and precise, and a wide variety of knives
