I've never lived in a home where there was matching silverware (it was always passed down through the family or thrifted secondhand), and this set makes me feel FANCY! 😍 The cutlery is very shiny, they have decent weight to them, and feel very sturdy/durable in the hands. Also have done well in the dish washer. 10/10
It has a very sleek design, while still maintaining durability. It’s nicely weighted and easy to clean.
These are terrific, nice weight and the shine on them is unbelievable! I didn't even need new flatware, bought them because of the beautifully textured handles. My daughter saw my set and ordered some for her family.

I am tasked with an everyday choice in cutlery for the table and there are now two choices in this home.I have had a Kingstone 40-piece set for everyday use, now there is this Alata Emma 40-piece set to choose from, yet there is a bit more decoration and width to the handles of Alata.The difference for me is the sizing of the spoons and their intended function, the size is obvious in the picture with the Alata being smaller in tablespoon and teaspoon while the other brand is now used as serving spoons.Also, the Alata knives are best used as table knives, the serrations are less robust than I expected so I use steak knives for meat cutting on the plate. They are fine for baked potatoes and asparagus and biscuits though.I hand wash my cutlery and can not comment on rust resistance, which I think is not an issue here with 18/10 steel. If it were 304 steel, the lesser quality, I would expect corrosion in salt water. But rust? No. I think rust would be coming from the water in an automatic dishwasher and not from the 304 steel commonly used in appliances.
I bought these as a Christmas gift and they were beautiful- Shiny,lightly hammered look and surprisingly, had a nice heavy feel in your hand. So glad I ordered these and not one of the other sets I was looking at
