Smoothie straws

Nice thick sturdy straws. They're a little shorter than I'd prefer but they work well with my straw toppers that need a bigger straw. I put them in the silverware tray on the door of my dishwasher (mine's older) and they get clean easily and don't warp.

Great straws!

I almost didn't buy these because a few people said it was hard to remove the plastic. But it was super easy. Maybe they have improved their packaging, but it's taken me longer to write this review then to unwrap the straws. Just find the end of the plastic wrap at the top of the straw and unwind it, super simple and fast. I like the width of the straw, perfect for my thick smoothies. And they are easy to clean because of the included brush.A caution though: don't put them in your dishwasher. I put one in and it is now bent from the heat, but still usable.

Sturdy, big straws

I lost my clear straws that came with my double-walled plastic mugs and tried these as a replacement. They're slightly bigger in diameter than the originals but fit through the lid opening just fine and still have a tiny bit of wiggle room. The difference from my old straws is in the length; these are longer than my originals. (That's a me-problem.) When lifting my mug for a drink I miss my mouth if I'm not paying attention due to the muscle-memory from the shorter straws, lol.Each straw comes individually shrink-wrapped in plastic, which is weird but manageable. I've read other reviewers saying it took them forever to unwrap them but it's not really a big deal. I just scraped my thumbnail all the way down the straw and didn't peel it off until it was completely opened all the way down. Took me maybe 60 seconds per straw and that was taking my time. You could use the back of a table knife and get it done faster...it's just lightweight shrink-wrap.The straws came in a nice drawstring bag and included a cleaning tool. The straws don't have the ridge near the bottom to keep them from slipping out of a straw-hole so that's worth noting, but I don't find myself pulling my straws all the way out of my drink anyway so I don't care. This is a nice set of durable plastic straws and definitely worth buying.

What's the easiest way to clean a straw? The answer is CLEAR.

I love these. I want to see what is inside the straw when I'm going to clean it. None of this straw washing by faith and not by sight business. If you make smoothies, you know that it's easy for chunks to get stuck in your straws that need to be physically cleared with a little brush. The brush that comes with these is perfect and the clearness of the straws makes it easy to see if you've gotten it clean or not.

Nice Straws, but a pain to open!

I ordered these straws and they are very nice. They arrived in a nice cotton bag, but when I removed them, I noticed they were individually shrink-wrapped in a saran-like material. I came to the conclusion that the wrapping machine must have run amok, or someone had been in a very mean mood the day these were wrapped...took nearly 45 min to get this stuff off the six straws. (I used an X-acto knife after the first one.)THEN I read the reviews. Now I realize the reviews were accurate. Also, the bottle brush that accompanied these straws is about 1-1/2 inches short of reaching thru the straws. Use your discretion if you are thinking about buying these. I would not buy these again.
