Sturdy material appropriate for freezer

Worked as expected. Would like them in smaller sizes that would fit single serve. I ended up cutting them in half, making a seal, and then using the smaller bag. I was vacuum sealing meals that had been previously frozen in silicone cubes. If I could add anything besides additional size options, it would be for an area on the clear side where you could write what is frozen and the date. I tried a Sharpie pen, but it didn't write on the clear material.

Thickest you can get for foodsaving, and probably smell-proof too.

The first thing people ask is will these fit a whole packer cut brisket? No. But it will fit a whole rack of beef back ribs (7 ribs) or 2 whole racks of pork spares ribs with a slush fund. I had pictures to prove it but I misplaced them.5.5mil thickness is usually reserved for commercial mail-order packaging and top-of-the line chamber vacuum sealers, but these are indeed channel bags for home (or commercial) use. Even their 15" bags can be used in 12" home vacuum sealers if you seal the top twice at an angle. (only pull the vacuum on the second seal, use "Seal Only" for the first diagonal) ).5.5mil does make a stiffer bag so you do have to have a clean sealer to pull the vacuum in these bags, but I had no problem with two of my 12" sealers. These are heftier than hefty bags, These are the best bags you;d ever need to buy, Any more would be a waste of money for any food-saving purposes. I suspect they're smell-proof, too. If that's your bag.

Very sturdy bags

I have an ordinary home vacuum sealer. These are substantially thicker than the bags that I usually use with it and more like the bags used by commercial butchers. I tested them with my sealer because I thought mine might not make a strong enough seal on this thicker material, but they work great! At nearly a dollar a bag, I will use these with items that benefit from the more durable packaging.

Great quality and versatile bags

These heavy-duty large-sized food saver bags work great! I love that they are clear on one side so I can easily see what’s inside, and black on the other to help keep light out. The large size is a huge plus — I don’t have to cut up bigger food items just to make them fit.Even though my food saver machine isn’t commercial grade, it sealed these bags without any issues. It just takes a little longer because the bags are bigger and there’s more air to remove. The seals have held perfectly without any leaks — which is something I’ve had trouble with using other brands.I also like that I can cut a large bag in half, seal one end, and make smaller bags when needed.
