I have had several of these things so I was a little skeptical but I got it out, figured out how everything works, the depth and width can be adjusted, and the handle locks down, it is Awesome! Can have different thicknesses of stuff, different widths, it just works really well. Blades are really sharp so slices things very easily. It comes with a little cleaning brush so thats easy to do. It comes apart so you can get into where the food is. Stores in a small space. I will be getting more as presents for people.

This slices hard items such as winter squash and sweet potatoes and carrots very well. I think even the largest size strips are too skinny for fries. Didn't really work out for what I wanted. Doesn't work very well for softer foods such as mushrooms and peppers.
