Good Kit .. but do your homework

This is a good kit overall. You get the basics, and it's certainly less expensive than buying each piece separately. My dutch over had chipped paint in several spots, which is a bummer. I do wish there were 2 jars in the kit because it gets so messy. One thing anyone purchasing this kit to start their sourdough journey could use is details on how to properly dispose of discard and clean up the mess. No one wants to end up with slow or clogged kitchen drains. I ended up using dog poop bags to trash the discard and having to really wipe down the residue off utensils with paper towels before washing them. The paste is like cement when it dries! Anyway, it's a good starter kit, but you should really read as much as you can before diving in. The kit isn't a 'one and done'.
