Works good
Works well and the quality is good. It is easy to use and the grip is good as long as your hands don’t have watermelon juice on them.

A great tool to easily slice medium size watermelons and place presentable for our guests!
This tool is heavy and well made and IT IS BIG! 10" Diameter! I ordered it to cut up apples because typical apple cutters are too small for the large apples I prefer. It turns out I don't have the hand and wrist strength to use it to cut apples but I'm sure there will be no problem using it for melons next summer. It will make quick work of that juicy, messy task and the melon slices will be more attractive, too.
I never dreamed when I ordered this that it would be so big! I almost feel like I am using a steering wheel from a go cart. It can be a little difficult to use at first, because there is some weight to it. You need to have some muscle to cut through the rind.It is made of stainless steel, and the edges can feel somewhat sharp. They need to be to be able to slice through the rind of a watermelon. So I would not recommend children using this device, and would caution young teenagers, as well.It is made very durable, so I would expect to have this for many years to come.
My husband loves fruit so much, I call him a fruit bat. He loves the pineapple corer I got him a few years ago, so when I saw this watermelon slicer, I was excited to get it for him. It's a bit gimmicky, but it does work. It's a fun and efficient alternative to chopping and slicing your melon with a knife, though you will still need your knife handy to slice off the top and bottom of the melon (making it flat on both ends) before pushing this tool through. It's easy to use (with a little muscle) and to wash. It's strong, sharp, durable, and the handles are very securely attached. If you have space to store this single-use tool, it's a cool gadget to have. If you are short on space and/or prefer multi-function tools, forget the watermelon slicer, pineapple corer, apple corer/slicer, etc. and just stick with a time-tested knife!
The Weikap Stainless Steel Watermelon slicer is a large metal slicer that easily cuts and creates even slices of melons.Pros:- With moderate force, this slicer is able to cut a whole watermelon in one fell swoop and leave nice even slices to enjoy- Works well on smaller melons too, the smallest I have tried is cantaloupe and even with that it cuts evenly and with little messCons:- It’s takes up a good amount of cabinet space for a specialized tool, so if you’re looking to have a minimalist kitchen, this probably isn’t for youStray thoughts:- The slicer is sharp! I am always very mindful when using it as I worry it may cut me making large slices in one go
Okay, so, right up front, this doesn't save significant time over just cutting with a knife. But it's kind of fun to do it all in one go, and it does make nice even wedges. It's also good for things with a core, like pineapple, because the center ring makes a cylinder, and if that part is normally inedible, you can just throw it out.The cutter itself works well, as long as the thing you're cutting is smaller than the outer ring (this should be obvious, no complaining about the cutter if the melon's too big!). The handles on either side make it easy to get a grip and bear down on it to make sure the cut is safe and even.Do you need this tool? Probably not. But if you like kitchen gadgets and utensils, have space to store it, and have money to buy it, it definitely does what it says it will.
