Well-made for my home Ooni Koda 12 pizza oven and packs away for easy storage

Purchased this aluminum pizza peel for my Ooni Koda 12 home pizza oven and it works great. The knob is easy to loosen for turning the handle inwards for storage, and it's also an twist-off for cleaning. The aluminum is nice and thin enough for getting a cooked pizza out of the oven. I ended up using this to launch the pizza into the oven as well, with plenty of flour underneath the dough, and that worked surprisingly well. NYT Wirecutter recommends getting both a wood and aluminum pizza peel (they recommended much more expensive brand, which doesn't make sense to me when a peel is practically commoditized--and I'm grateful for solid choices like this one on Amazon). For being a newbie to home pizza cooking, I was worried the handle wouldn't be long enough to keep me safe from the heat, but in fact it is the right length. I learned that I don't want too long of a handle because not only does it get unwieldy, but also I lose leverage with too much length. I also appreciate that I can hang this peel on a hook on my pizza cart. This particular item was perfect for my home pizza making needs. I look forward to using it for years to come.

Heavy Duty

I used 2-part epoxy to permanently attach the bolt into the handle and I take the handle off to hand wash and dry the aluminum plate. Just be careful when putting the nut back on the bolt, so you don't damage the threads. It's easier to store with the handle off. I roll out home-made dough and put flour and/or cornmeal on the peel and pull the dough onto the peel and roll up cheese in the edges of the crust to make stuff crust pizza and the raised edges also help retain the ingredients. But if you get your technique down this is an excellent peel, and can handle the weight of any pizza.
