I have own ed Circulon nonstick for the last 10 years, and am transitioning to stainless steel. Ammeloo stainless steel fry pans are the best I've ever owned, and will replace the pot set with Ammeloo product. Loving it!
This was a second attempt to find non-stick pans that works with an induction cooktop. These pans did not disappoint. Even hearing, easy cleaning. Recommend.
Heavy duty, great price
I've been looking to replace all my pans to something that is non toxic and with this set of 3 frying pans, we have a complete set of non-toxic pots and pans now! This is actually my second time getting Ammeloo cookware and I'm really happy with the brand. These pans look like really spendy pans with a lot smaller price. At $80 for the set, it's still not a cheapo pan set, but way less than top tier pans.I've found that when cooking with these I definitely need the right amount of oil as well as I'm able to cook at a lower temp than I normally would. The first time I made fried sourdough in this pan, it was a little too hot even compared with my other new frying pans. So far, I've cooked several meals in these pans and I'm really happy. I have been washing them by hand because I really want to keep the non-stick part of the pan active, but they can be put in the dishwasher too. Because the entire pan is steel, you can pop it in the oven, but I haven't really had a reason to do that, especially since I have a cast iron pan for that. Others have said that the handle gets hot, but I haven't experienced that because I'm mostly working with medium high heat at most.
These frying pans feel like professional grade quality. Our first test for them was a breakfast of fried eggs, sausage patties and cubed sweet potatoes. The pans feel very comfortable to use while cooking. The position of the handles on the edge of the pan gives the pans good balance. The finish on the handles is smooth and bright. They are hollow, but the design makes it possible to clean the inside of the handles with a bottle brush if necessary. We like the round handles because they feel much more comfortable than the flat handles on our other pans. Even though the handles are hollow, they feel solid. The pans themselves have a smooth, lustrous finish on the outside and a textured inside, to prevent foods from sticking. The bottom side of the pans is polished, smooth and allows the pans to slide around easily on our glass-surface stovetop. The even heat distribution around the entire bottom of the pan is notable. All of the food we've fried in these has been evenly browned no matter where it was positioned in the pan. The contour of the pans makes it easy to pan-flip the food being cooked. Nothing we've cooked in these so far has stuck to the bottom of the pans. That makes them easy to clean. I sincerely believe this is best set of frying pans I've used. The different sizes of the three pans in the set makes the set ideal for our home cooking needs. The price seems high, but it is competitive with many other non-stick pans from brand-name manufacturers, but much less than we've paid in the past for pans that were lower quality than these. I think they would be great house-warming gifts, or for anyone equipping their kitchen for the first time. The great quality is an indicator that they will last for a long time. Highly recommended.
These remind me of a more budget friendly version of Hexclad cookware. I do have one large Hexclad skillet and even though the interior looks and feels similar, these Ammeloo pans are a bit more non-stick than the Hexclad is.The way these are designed, they have the look of being fully stainless steel, but there's actually a ceramic etched interior. So it's a healthier version of non-stick that they have used, compared to the older versions of non-stick. With that said, I'd suggest using non-metal cooking utensils with these. Even though you can use steel utensils with other stainless steel pans, this one does have a more delicate surface on the inside that would get damaged from them. So wood or silicone are your best best to extend the life of the non-stick.I've been using these pans for a few weeks now and I'm pretty happy with them. The non-stick works nicely and they wash up well. So much easier to clean than stainless steel pans that don't have this non-stick etching inside.
