Good introduction cooktop hotpot
My old Oyama introduction cooktop work only a year . The button doesn't work anymore after press few time (broken). So I give this Amzchef cooktop a try. After few time Hotpot party i write this review. This one 1800w higher than my old oyama one. They heat up the water faster . There 2 fans compare to my old one 1 fan. So less noise and wouldn't overheat. The front buttons is touch screen that work very good. I don't need to worry for broken button like my old one after use few time. The only bad thing is this one don't come with the pot , But for this value for money and quality I'm so happy, I can use my old pot or buy other if need. So far I give this 5 star.

Just not for super heavy use
At first it did great. Cooked well. Heated up pretty quickly. Easy to control the temperature of the pan in order to cook the food properly. Out of the blue decided it wasn't going to work anymore. I contacted the seller asking about the warranty. I got an email wanting a video so they could see what it was doing. I know they're supposed to be power on the wall. Check that it's there. I tried turning it off unplugging I looking for a reset button. Everything - it is dead. Nothing happens when you plug it in and push the button.After a little time the seller made it right.They sent me a replacement. It works well.I have decided that I will not use this as the primary hot plate waiting for the cook-top (LP gas) to be installed. That date keeps getting pushed back.I will then be moving this out to the RV as a good secondary in place of the gas stove if our LP is running low.I did notice THAT I PAID $96.00 initially and now its down to $55?Doesn't seem fair to me.It is a good hotplate. Better be steel tho.Induction does work on this.I would buy it again at the new price.

Sleek and fast cooktop, and great customer service
It's very thin, looks good on the counter top. Set to high mode, and it boils water so quickly. Great product.The cook top stopped working after using it for a few months. I contacted Amzchef customer support. Mia (from Amzchef customer support team) was very helpful, understood the issue, and sent me the replacement unit (shipping included) . Great customer service !

I got this countertop induction cooker because I wanted to try it out before committing to an induction stovetop. I'm sold!!! Cooks evenly and easily, boils water fast so we can ditch our water boiler pot and have more counter space, turns off when the pot/pan is removed, and handles stay cool so I can drain water or fat.I wanted to take one star off because it's a bit noisy, but the pros outweigh that by a lot. Hopefully if you're reading this you already know that you need magnetic cookware to use with this.

MIssed opportunity for a great product. Look elsewhere.
I have waited for ages to get a single induction cooktop and was excited to try it out. I have used it about a dozen times now and have found it of somewhat limited utility - there is no "simmer" setting! It's either at 140F (which is a safe "keep warm" temp) or 212F (full boil) or higher. So if you have something say that you want to simmer gently for 45 minutes this is NOT the product for you. I was really wanting to use this for cooking down tomato sauce etc, where I could just set it at a low simmer (say, 180F) for X amount of time and forget it. As stated above there's no temperature between a full, rolling boil and "steam table"/keep warm temp so unless you are going to stand over it and stir constantly it's useless unless you are only doing hot sauteing/frying. I wish I had known this before because I wouldn't have purchased this item. The only upside is that it's very easy to clean when you inevitably boil something over.
