We were given a set from Korea, and wanted some place mats and table decor that would go with it. Safe to say these are perfect. They wipe clean easily. They do chip easily sadly, but only one has chipped so far. It’s been months ! Definitely the bamboo design we wanted. The color and design is exactly like the pictures. It is easy to put away and take out. Comes with a bag to roll it up and put it away and looks good just sitting. Reminds me of a sushi mat lol

Durable, colorful, and beautiful

My kitchen table is showing its age and so I like to have placemats out around the table to help conceal the water marks and so forth. I’ve had bamboo placemats before and liked them, so I decided to give these a try. These are great. They are colorful, which I love, and they seem durable. I’ve cleaned them by wiping them down with a clean, damp dishcloth.I wouldn’t use these with small children and a potentially messy meal, such as spaghetti. The placemats might not hold up to a heavy duty cleaning such as that required by a spilled red sauce. But otherwise, these placemats are great for every day use. I like them enough that I would give them as a gift or replace my own if a placemat thief took mine!

Fragile

I've had 2 out of the 4 fall apart on me. I think my 18 year old was kind of picking at them nervously possibly but still, he wasn't rough housing them. The thread is either too thin or not tied well enough. Once it starts to fray, forget about it. You'll be tossing it soon enough if you don't get some sort of adhesive on it.I give it 2 stars for cleanability because, there is no way I would try to wash them. I feel 99% sure they would fall apart not too long after, if not while you were cleaning them. Should you, just be careful not to snag the thread. It is SUPER frail. I simply turn them on their side and tap on the table to get out any crumbs. If I spilt anything on them that needs washed, I'm not 100% certain I wouldn't be throwing them away soon after. Can't confirm that though because I take them off the table before any messy food gets near them. I just don't want to chance it.They do look cool though.
