Best Apple Peeler
I purchased this Apple peeler/corer to help with making homemade applesauce. When I say that I love this peeler, not only did it let me get through over 40 apples in a matter of minutes but it was fun to use! It is extremely easy to use, it made my job 100 times easier. It is built with a very sturdy construction and quality parts and I had no trouble with the suction cup, it stayed put the entire time I used it with no problems whatsoever. I'm actually excited to make homemade mashed potatoes now because I'm going to use it to peel my potatoes as well and save myself a ton of time standing over a garbage can trying to peel them by hand . I highly recommend this especially for moms of toddlers who like apples. This makes homemade applesauce so easy as well as peeling and slicing apples for little ones completely effortless with easy cleanup. I am extremely happy with my purchase, probably one of the best things I have added to my kitchen in a long time !

Nice antique look and works well for apples
Pros: Fast and easy to use. Works well on apples and other hard items like potatoes provided they are smooth and well rounded (no indents or protruding potato eyes). Comes with additional peeler blades and slicing/coring blades for when the old ones get dull. Comes with a plastic cover for the sharp-pointed fruit holders.Cons: It’s an apple peeler, and the manual says it does not work well on soft items: oranges, peaches, kiwis, etc. –– indeed it doesn’t.

Says it has a lifetime warranty. Is this true?
This machine is supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I followed the instructions to get the lifetime warranty by scanning a QR code. It took me to a survey monkey page, I filled it out, and was supposed to get a confirmation email. Never got one. This company is out of China, so I don't know if the warranty is real. But I did get screen shots in the event I need proof that it was offered and I applied for it.The machine itself seems to work very well. I easily prepped the apples that I had stowed in the bottom of my fridge for months--3.5 quarts worth--and made a great crock pot applesauce. Sometimes the peeler didn't work, and I found all I needed to do was push the blade into the skin to get the peeler going. Some of my apples had very tough, thick skins plus less than firm flesh. Fresh firm apples are what the manufacturer advise for best results. In my opinion, this machine worked fine on older apples. It didn't get all the peel off sometimes, but peel is actually where most of the nutrition is, and I was making applesauce. I didn't time how fast it took to process 6 quarts of apples, but it was very fast as well as fun. (What a cool invention! Probably thought up by a genius farmer. Get it for your child to teach about simple machines.) Yes, the skinner did clog up three times, but I was able to quickly pull out the stuck peel and apple and keep going. The suction cup never came loose from the table. Make sure the table and suction cup are both clean and smooth to maintain complete air lock. You cannot beat the price on this. It costs the same ($12) as an old worn out machine you'd find in a thrift shop, but has all the pieces. If it really has a lifetime warranty, I hit the jackpot-- an amazing deal. We'll see.

When it works it's amazing when it doesn't well, it doesn't
Apple Peeler, Stainless Steel Apple Corer Slicer Peeler, Durable Heavy Duty Die Cast Magnesium Alloy Apple Peeler Slicer Corer with Suction Base(Red)To be fair it works about 90% of the time.I did about a bushel of apples with it yesterday and I'm satisfied enough to keep it but it does have a couple of problems.First off I didn't peel all the apples since I was making apple butter and without the peeler it works great with one caveat.Sometimes the lever doesn't slip into the screw and has to be manually pressed.When using the peeler and the lever doesn't slip properly into the screw it just keeps on peeling in one place until you fix it. If you are moving fast it can cut pretty much through the apple before you stop.The slicer on the end has some flex and over time I expect enough to cause alignment troubles for the coring operation if it was to bend out of plumb.The suction base works fantastic and overall I'm satisfied enough to keep it considering the amount of work it does save.
