Big heavy grinder - massive volume - highly adjustable
Okay, first off who'd pay this much for a grinder? Well, I bet if you need to grind lots of fresh pepper and are looking, then this is it.It is nicely packaged and well built. Heavy, but not unbalanced. Well built parts and all fit together nicely.You press the button on the top and the top comes off for easy filling. There are 12 adjustments and the finest I could barely grind it and it came out as a fine dust powder (this could be real cool and the next setting was a little easier and almost as fine). The coarsest came out real course - almost cracked. Cool!I have an electric grinder that I love, so I thought I'd compare. I set this one to 6 as it matched the grind size of my grinder. I ground for 15 seconds and this one produced 5 grams of pepper! My electric for same time didn't even register a gram! Wow!So, if you need to grind a lot of fresh pepper and maybe even want to do cracked or powder this is it! And, you already know what you are looking for!

Serious Cooks & Maybe Chefs Only!! Works Well!!
I have been searching for a pepper mill that not only works without breaking, but I wanted one that actually grinds the peppercorns differently based on the setting. Currently, I have 4 pepper mills, a wooden one that doesn’t catch peppercorns well with each turn and grinds all to the same size. I have 2 automatic pepper mills, the bottom on 1 broke grinding peppercorns and the other grinds coarsely on ALL settings, sometimes gives big flakes. Lastly, I now have this Silver Pepper Mill. I’m blown away!! This Mill has 12 coarseness settings and they are all slightly different than the next, which is how it should be!!!! Setting 1 was so fine, it was really had to turn but 2 is MORE than fine enough, I could barely see it. It grinds consistently & evenly per setting level and I could not be happier!!!! Now, let’s talk price!! It’s currently over $100 and while I’ve ever seen a pepper mill so expensive, I’ve also never seen a pepper milll work almost perfectly until now!! It’s definitely on the heavy side because there are no plastic parts, it’s all metal. It’s not so heavy though that it’s cumbersome, it’s easy to lift and easy to use. If you’ve been on a long hunt for the perfect highly functioning pepper mill, this is it!!! Do I think it’s worth the money, for me, yes but for a less serious cook, probably not.
