Thick, classic, functional, nice to display
Finally, I found mats that are a thick braid and not thin, cheap material. I was excited for these placemats to arrive so I could see them in person, and I am impressed!They are made of thick material, with the classic braided design. I don't have to worry about heat or water affecting the table one bit. the size is good and leaves room on both sides of a dinner plate. The color is vibrant. it holds up to spills and stains because it's easy to clean.the price is right! my only complaint is that they don't sell matching coasters because I would buy those too! the matching holder is very convenient and looks nice, allowing me to store them just a reach away. two people have already picked up one of the mats, felt the material and ask where I bought them. Classic, well made mats like this are hard to find for some reason.

Nice placemat, decent size. I like it's low profile looking, gives a very settle and modern feeling of my dining room.It does collect some crumbs, but still fairly easy to clean by dusting and wiping off.The tag on the holder actually comes black instead of beige as seen in the picture. I do wish it were beige, but it is very minor, doesn't really bother me anyways.

Pretty and functional - cleans easily
These are the perfect size for protecting my small, round dining table from being damaged by hot plates. The holder hides them in plain sight, and the color is lovely and warm. I was able to remove spaghetti sauce by rubbing a few drops of dish soap in, then rinsing well with cold water. It came out with no loss of rigidity or color after drying.
