Beautiful, Oven-Safe Bowls That Feel Restaurant-Quality
These bowls are stunning in person and feel incredibly well made. The size is perfect for French onion soup, chili, or stews, and I love that they’re oven safe for broiling cheese right before serving. The handles make them easy to move in and out of the oven, and the lids help keep everything warm at the table. They photograph beautifully too—great for home cooks and content creators who care about presentation as much as function.

The 20 oz size is perfect for French onion soup, chili, beef stew, cereal, and even pot pies. The handles make them easy to carry, and the lids and spoons are a great bonus. They are oven-safe and hold heat really well, which is exactly what you want for hot soups.

Gorgeous, Sturdy Bowls — But the Lids Are a Total Miss
I was so excited about these bowls, and honestly, the bowls themselves are fantastic. They’re thick, beautiful, and feel high‑quality. Oven‑ and microwave‑safe is a huge plus, and they look far more expensive than they are. For actual cooking and serving, they’re wonderful. But the lids… absolutely no seal. They pop off no matter what temperature the bowl is — warm, cold, room temp — so they’re not portable at all unless you want your lunch to end up everywhere except inside the bowl. The spoons don’t add much either.Still, for the price, the bowls alone make it worth it. They’re functional, pretty, and great for home use — just don’t count on the lids for storage or transport.

Proper Bowls for a Real Meal
My wife ordered this set of four Artena soup bowls in the white floral pattern, and while I usually don't get worked up over kitchenware, these are solid pieces of equipment. I’m sixty years old and I’ve eaten out of a lot of flimsy bowls, but these have some actual weight to them. I gave them five stars because they handle the heat of a high broiler without cracking and they feel like they’ll last another twenty years. The first thing I noticed was the size. At 20 ounces, they hold a man-sized portion of beef stew or chili. My daughters are eleven and thirteen, so they aren't exactly finishing off huge crocks of soup yet, but for me, the capacity is perfect. I really like the handles because they make it easy to pull a boiling hot French onion soup out of the oven without fumbling around. The lids are a smart addition too. They keep the food hot while the girls are dawdling getting to the table, and they’re great for popping leftovers into the fridge. Even our Maltipoo, Joy, ended up liking the look of them, though obviously she’s not getting any of the onion soup. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the spoons that come with the set. They’re fine, but they feel a bit delicate compared to the heavy ceramic of the bowls themselves. I usually just grab my own silverware out of the drawer instead. As for the value, the price seems fair for a set of four. You get the bowls, the lids, and the spoons, and the ceramic feels high-quality, not like that cheap stuff that chips the first time it hits the sink. My wife is happy with the embossed design, and I’m happy I finally have a bowl that can handle a proper broiler char on my cheese. It was a good purchase.

Beautiful, Practical, and Excellent Quality French Onion Soup Bowls!
I ordered this set in the damask floral pattern, and I am absolutely thrilled with it. In my house we eat a lot of soup, and with a few bowls from my old set broken, we were constantly running out of clean ones. These bowls have already solved that problem — and exceeded my expectations in every way.The first thing that impressed me was the packaging. Each bowl was nestled in thick protective foam, packed so carefully that there was virtually no chance of anything breaking during shipping. It gave me confidence right away that this was a well-thought-out, high-quality set.In person, the bowls look even more beautiful than the listing photos. The damask floral design is elegant and vibrant, and the matching spoons are such a charming touch. The included plastic lids are incredibly practical — perfect for storing leftovers or prepping dishes ahead of time. Having all three (bowls, spoons, lids) together makes this set unbeatable for convenience.I specifically bought these for French onion soup, and they perform perfectly. I can place the filled bowls directly into the oven to melt cheese over the toasted bread, and they come out piping hot every time. Not a single crack, craze line, or flaw in the finish — even after repeated oven use. That speaks volumes about the quality and durability of the ceramic. The bowls are also a wonderful size: perfect for hearty soup portions, yet just right for desserts as well. They feel substantial in the hand, but not heavy, and the porcelain seems very resistant to chipping or heat damage.I am so impressed with the craftsmanship and durability of these bowls that I fully plan to add more items from the Artena Store to my collection. This set is beautiful, functional, and built to last — everything I could have hoped for.Highly recommended!

Pretty
The ceramic feels a little thin on these. I'm not sure if they durable enough to hold up to any sort of fall or bump, but they are pretty and seem to keep things pretty warm. They all survived the dishwasher, so they're easy to clean that way.
