Since I use a dedicated calorie counting app, I'm not really interested in this scale for its "smart" features. It would be annoying to weigh ten ounces of melon or whatever and have the two apps disagree on the breakdown, so I got this just because it looks like a quality kitchen scale, and will be reviewing it as such.The scale is, as far as I can tell, fairly accurate. I didn't have anything with an extremely precise known weight to measure, but it seemed to handle water well enough. Unfortunately, the readout isn't in the best position. This is best used for measuring out ingredients, and if you want to use it for meals, you'll take to have a dedicated saucer you use with the scale; if you try to measure things on a dinner plate, and way you have to position it to weigh things properly will cover the display.

Nice balance of precision and weight capability
- Shipped with rubber stoppers that protect the weighing balances from becoming unbalanced- Comes with batteries already in (protected from corrosion by removable plastic slip)- Standard controls, easy to understand- One year warranty- Has 5-min auto-shutoff time (which is nice because my old scale had a really short shut off time)- Higher weight limit than my other 0.1g scale, and more precise than my other 1g scale (which has the same weight limit as this one). So definitely an upgrade form both scales, and now I can have one scale with the capabilities of both!- See pictures: I tested it against my other scales, with items of various weight. It's hard to know which is more or less accurate, since I haven't tested the calibration of either one. But they are at least within 0.1g of each other, so that's good.- The app is kind of an interesting added feature, although to me it doesn't seem that much easier or better than just entering things manually into a free nutrition tracker app such as Cronometer, which is a bit more comprehensive as well. Still, it's at least cool that it's free. It's easy to find and set up. I will probably not be using the app though, since Cronometer fulfills my needs better.- The surface of the scale smudges easily. So if you're particular about that kind of thing you will have to wipe it off a lot haha

Great for meal prepping for the week with personal recipes
This nutritional scale by Atogou is great for those who like to cook in bulk at the beginning of the week to meal prep. In the past, I've used other apps like carb manager to track my daily meals. But putting in recipes for home-cooked meals was always a tedious chore.This scale makes it easy as you weigh what you're adding to your meals, and it keeps score of the calories/fat/protein/etc and tallies them up for you.At the end, I just divvy out my soup for the week, and take the total calculations from my recipe and divide that by how many servings I've portioned out to get an accurate weekly total of how much I'm consuming.The app, called Nutribalan (available in the app store), does not come with any reviews. It does state that it does not collect data, but I am a bit leary of this app perhaps because it has no prior reviews.In addition, it requires that you include your birthdate, height, gender, and weight as it takes all of these into calculation for meeting your daily percentages of intake.Could you use this as a standalone scale for everyday measurements without opening the app? Yes.But using the app for a niche like being super precise for meal planning is where it really shines.

Very precise!
We love this scale so far! We’ve had no issues with it at all (at least up to this point - will update if that changes at all). We especially like how precise it is, which is on all points of the scale, something that seems to be unusual. Many of the scales I’ve tried will give you different readings depending on where you put whatever it is you are weighing. I will say that with scales, how they are packed and delivered does play a big part in how well they work, since they are a sensitive item. Aside from that this seems to be well made and with good quality materials. I like, and much prefer, the stainless steel plate as you can wipe it clean easily. Some of us use it constantly for diet purposes, but also for coffee (we are very precise around here when it comes to coffee). Also, If You accidentally tare/ clear it, you can hit another button and get your reading back (which is super helpful). We did not, nor will we, download the app. I personally don’t like having an app for everything, and most of them seem to give or sell your information so it’s not something we’d ever use. Other than that, it’s a great scale and I would definitely recommend it.
