Ive had this awhile now. Its an awesome skillet and im now on the hunt for the smaller one waiting on a deal :) this cooks great, cleans super easy, no burned on bottom, quality does matter. Highly recommend!
As someone who loves cooking and spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I’m always on the lookout for reliable, high-quality cookware. The AVACRAFT 18/10 Stainless Steel Frying Pan has definitely lived up to my expectations. The 12-inch size is perfect for preparing meals for my family, and I love how evenly it heats up. Whether I’m frying, sautéing, or searing, the stainless steel construction ensures my food cooks perfectly every time. The matte interior has kept the pan looking pristine even after regular use, and the mirror-finish exterior gives it such an elegant look. The ergonomic handle is another great feature—it stays cool while I cook, and the side spouts make pouring liquids so much easier. I can’t get over how easy it is to clean, too, since it’s dishwasher safe.I’ve used this pan on my induction cooktop as well as gas, and it works flawlessly on both. It’s definitely become one of my go-to pans in the kitchen, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys cooking and wants reliable, durable cookware.
I purchased the stainless steel (SS) frying pan and the 1.5 quart SS saucepan . This is my first SS cookware. I have been hearing for a long, long time the possible health effects of cooking using Teflon, ceramic, and non-stick “stone” cookware so I decided to give SS a chance. I then tossed away my old cookware.I like the new pan and the saucepan. They look elegant. I like the external mirror finish. I think the spouts on the rim are a great idea because you eliminate the mess when pouring stuff out of them. They heat up faster than I am used to, so I am being careful not letting anything to burn. The food making direct contact with the pan’s surface while cooking tends to stick. The very first time I tried to fry an egg without oil to see how it behaved. When I scooped it, a good amount was left on the pan. However, I filled the pan with water, let it sit for a while, and then scrubbed the egg away with a soft sponge/scrubber with soap. It can be easily cleaned. The next time I fried another egg I used Pam and it did the trick. I have read that SS cookware can be “cured” to make it non-stick, but I will check on that later.Lids are elegant and practical. The glass allows you to see inside the pan and the insulated handle never gets hot. I like the saucepan’s lid because it has a strainer. That was clever. I could also toss away my plastic strainer.By the way, the pan’s and saucepan’s all-metal handle does not get hot at all. Also, although the SS may be resistant to scratches, I bought a set of silicone utensils to avoid scratching the surfaces. All in all, I think that this is an excellent and affordable choice. I would dare to say that food tastes even better. For the price, you are getting a great product. Of course, I still need to see how they perform in the long run.
This is a great little pan that takes a little getting use to. We have a gas stove, so I have to keep the flame down to a 2 or lower. It heats up fast and if you don’t want food to stick then wait for a minute or two to let the pan reach its even temperature before you add in the food. Also a small amount of butter or grease/ spray before cooking make for an easy clean. It does clean up well and the exterior is beautiful shiny but the interior can turn slightly stained looking, as others have commented. Love the handle! It’s never hot and very solid. The pouring edges of the pan are also a great little advantage most fry pans don’t offer.UPDATE: I’ve had this for almost a year now and love it! It is very comfortable in my hand and cleans up beautifully.
Quality, price and use - fabulous!I purchased the Avacraft pot with side pour perforated spout and clear lid and loved it!I cook 2 to 3 times A DAY , very heavy use of cookware. I own pieces of T-fal ltd. (love but chachachiiiing!) , a Weaverware fry pan ( I do not recommend! ) and other various Brand Name stainless steel cookware I just can't recommend due to price or other issues.I needed replacements for the everyday "recommended" ceramic cookware I purchased a year ago that did not hold up. I did not want to spent $200+ dollars on one pan, or purchase something I'd have to replace next year. I googled tons of info and purchased one Avacraft pot first to test. I am super happy with this cookware!**If a cook is not familiar with cooking on stainless steel I would highly recommend googling info on stainless cookware use.**Most of the 1 and 2 star reviews I see are because the cook wasn't familiar with stainless steel use.The 3 items I purchased separately, a pot, pan and wok style multi purpose pot, are all NONSTICK when heated on med-low first then food is added. I have made omelets, soups and pasta sauce (acidic). Easy to clean. Stay cool handles. If heat/food "discolor" pan rub with vinager. I do not put pans or knives in dishwasher but these are dishwasher safe. I did make a frittata in the oven and it came out perfect, it did not stick. *Use cookware correctly. Heat first THEN add food.*Light weight. Easy clean up. See thru lids (love!!!) Stay cool handles ( I'll mention it again because lesson learned). A level base which sat flat on gas cook top even after multiple uses, no warping. Even heat distribution, no obvious hot spots . My gas range does not distribute gas evenly so a pans ability to distribute heat is important to me. I compared my Avacraft sauce pan(pot) to my Tfal sauce pan (pot) and it was very similar in heat distribution when comparing bubbles/temp distribution with a thermometer in clear water.Cooked well on low simmer for extended time without over heating as some cookware does. It kept an even temperature and did not continue to absorb heat and and over heat then scorch sauce on low temp, fabulous benefit! Yes, I've had pans that did that.I liked the 1st pot I ordered so much I purchased a fry pan with lid, and later the multi-use wok style pot. I recommend this brand for multi-use, ease of use, quality and price. Lightweight, cool handles, oven safe (350' was my experience), even heat distribution, dishwasher safe and for a quality vs. price, totally worth it!!!
